A Goddess's Dirty Little Secret: Artemis and the Forbidden Fertility Force

Chapter One: Apollo’s Unwelcome Intrusion

Artemis lay in her bed, the once soft and inviting linens now a crumpled mess of disarray. The goddess of the moon and hunt was unkempt and unwashed, her usual radiant glow dimmed by the shadows that clung to her like a second skin. She had been forced to get an abortion, a cruel reminder of the harsh realities that even gods and goddesses couldn’t escape.

The door to her bedchamber creaked open, and in walked Apollo, the god of the sun and her twin brother. He was the embodiment of light and warmth, a stark contrast to Artemis’s current state.

“Artemis, my dear sister,” Apollo said, his voice filled with concern. “How are you faring?”

Artemis snapped her head towards him, her eyes narrowed in annoyance. “Go away, Apollo. I don’t want to talk to you.”

Apollo persisted, taking a step closer to her bedside. “Please, Artemis. Let me help you. You haven’t eaten anything in days.”

Artemis turned away from him, pulling the covers over her head. “I’m not hungry. Just leave me alone.”

Apollo, undeterred, pulled back the curtains, letting in the sunlight. Artemis groaned, throwing a pillow at him. It hit him square in the face, but he didn’t flinch.

“Come now, Artemis. You can’t hide from the sun forever.”

Artemis huffed, sitting up in bed. “Fine. I’ll eat something. But only because you’re annoying me.”

Apollo grinned, pulling up a chair. “I’ll take that as a win. Now, let me tell you a humorous story about one of my adventures.”

Artemis couldn’t resist laughing, her mood improving with each passing moment. Apollo, seeing her improved mood, insisted that she take a shower and eat something. Artemis, still grumpy but unable to deny Apollo’s logic, agreed to take a shower.

As she stood under the warm water, Artemis reflected on her actions. She realized that she needed to take care of herself, to not let her emotions consume her. She stepped out of the shower, feeling refreshed and renewed.

Dressed and joining Apollo in the dining room, Artemis found him happily eating.

“I’m glad to see you eating, Artemis,” Apollo said, his voice filled with relief. “Remember, I’ll always be here for you, no matter what.”

Artemis smiled, feeling a warmth in her heart that she hadn’t felt in days. She realized that even in her darkest moments, she could always count on Apollo to be there for her. And for that, she was grateful.
