Acid Test: A Love Corroded

### Chapter One: Acid and Ambitions

The luxurious penthouse of Björn's beloved, a renowned singer, vibrated with the echoes of a slammed door. Björn had stormed out after a heated argument with her father, the sound of his departure lingering like the scent of his cologne.

Inside, the singer tried to calm her father, her voice a soothing melody amidst the storm. "Dad, please, let's talk this through," she pleaded, her eyes searching his for any sign of softening.

But her father remained stubborn and unyielding, his face set in stone. "That boy is nothing but trouble," he growled, his voice a low rumble that filled the room.

Exasperated, the singer turned to her best friend, who had been silently observing the drama unfold. "Can you believe him?" she vented, her frustration palpable.

Her friend, always quick with a quip, tried to lighten the mood. "Well, at least he's consistent. It's like his views are stuck in the '50s, right along with his fashion sense."

The singer couldn't help but crack a smile at the playful insult, her tension easing slightly. "You're right, but it doesn't make dealing with him any easier."

As her father left the penthouse to attend a business meeting, the singer found herself alone, the silence of the spacious room enveloping her. Unbeknownst to her, a crazed fan, obsessed with her every move, had managed to sneak past security, his heart pounding with a mix of anticipation and madness.

Seeking to mend the rift caused by the earlier argument, the singer picked up her phone and dialed Björn's number. As soon as he answered, she could hear the tension in his voice. "Björn, I'm sorry about earlier," she began, her tone soft and conciliatory.

Björn sighed, the sound crackling through the phone. "It's not your fault. Your father just knows how to push my buttons."

The singer smiled, her voice turning playful as she tried to ease the tension. "Well, you are a bit of a hot-headed Viking, aren't you?"

Björn's laughter echoed through the phone, the sound warming her heart. "Only when it comes to you," he replied, his voice softening.

As they continued their steamy phone call, the singer's world was about to take a terrifying turn. Outside her door, the crazed fan's heart raced, his grip tightening on a bottle of acid. With a sudden burst of madness, he flung open the door, his eyes wild with obsession.

The singer, still on the phone, heard a strange noise but dismissed it as her imagination. "Björn, did you hear that?" she asked, her voice tinged with uncertainty.

But before Björn could respond, the fan burst into the penthouse, his eyes locked on his target. With a scream, the singer dropped her phone as the fan threw the acid at her face, the liquid burning her skin with a searing pain.

Björn, hearing the commotion, felt his heart pound with fear. Without hesitation, he rushed back to the penthouse, his mind racing with thoughts of his beloved.

As he arrived, the singer's father returned, his face pale with shock at the horrific scene before him. For a moment, their eyes met, a shared concern for the singer uniting them in their urgency.

Together, they rushed her to the hospital, their differences momentarily forgotten in the face of her pain. At the hospital, despite her agony, the singer managed to crack a joke, her voice weak but defiant. "Well, I guess I'll have to update my album cover now. Call it my 'new look.'"

Her strength and resilience shone through, a testament to her spirit even in the face of such adversity. As Björn and her father stood by her side, they knew that together, they would face whatever challenges lay ahead.
