Akane's Twisted Tumble: When Pregnancy and Parental Disapproval Lead to a Surprising Offer

Chapter One: Unwanted Decisions

Akane kicked off her shoes and let out a sigh of relief as she stepped into the small foyer of her apartment. It had been a long day at school, followed by an even longer shift at the diner, and all she wanted to do was curl up on the couch and relax. But as she made her way down the short hallway towards the living room, she heard the sound of raised voices coming from inside.

She paused for a moment, listening. It sounded like her mother, Yumi, and her new boyfriend, Shigeru. Akane couldn't make out what they were saying, but the tone of their voices was enough to make her stomach clench with anxiety. She took a deep breath and pushed open the door.

"Ah, there she is," Shigeru said, grinning as he took a sip of his drink. He was sitting next to Yumi on the couch, looking far too comfortable in Akane's small, cramped living room.

Yumi turned to look at her, and Akane's heart sank as she saw the expression on her mother's face. It was a mix of anger and disappointment, and Akane knew that she was in for a lecture.

"Akane, we need to talk to you," Yumi said, her voice tight.

Akane steeled herself, bracing for the worst. She had a feeling she knew what this was about.

"I heard what you did," Yumi continued, her voice growing louder. "I can't believe you would be so irresponsible."

Akane felt her cheeks grow warm as she realized that her mother was talking about her pregnancy. She had only found out a few days ago, and she was still trying to come to terms with it herself. She hadn't exactly planned on telling her mother yet, but it seemed that word had gotten out anyway.

"It was a mistake," Akane said, her voice quiet. "I didn't mean for it to happen."

"A mistake?" Shigeru scoffed. "You're seventeen years old, Akane. You're not a child anymore. It's time for you to start taking responsibility for your actions."

Akane felt a surge of anger at his words. She was well aware of how old she was, thank you very much. And she didn't need some middle-aged man telling her how to live her life.

"I'm not ready to be a mother," Akane said, her voice firm. "I'm still in school. I have plans for my future."

"Plans that will have to change now," Yumi said, her voice sharp. "We've made a decision, Akane. You're going to move out and live with Nekomaru, the father of your child."

Akane's eyes widened in shock. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. She had only been seeing Nekomaru for a few months, and she certainly hadn't planned on starting a family with him.

"I can't do that," Akane said, her voice shaking. "I'm not ready to leave home. I'm not ready to be a mother."

"You don't have a choice, Akane," Yumi said, her voice cold. "You made your bed, now you have to lie in it."

Akane felt tears of frustration prick at the corners of her eyes. She couldn't believe that her own mother was abandoning her like this.

"You're not fit to be a parent," Akane said, her voice trembling. "You're just going to leave me to deal with this on my own?"

Yumi and Shigeru exchanged a glance, and Akane could see the anger and defensiveness in their eyes.

"We're doing what's best for you, Akane," Yumi said, her voice tight. "You need to grow up and take responsibility for your actions."

Akane felt a surge of anger and frustration. She couldn't believe that her mother was turning her back on her like this. She couldn't believe that she was being forced to make such a huge decision at such a young age.

Without another word, Akane turned and stormed out of the apartment. She couldn't bear to be in the same room as Yumi and Shigeru any longer. She needed to get away, to clear her head and figure out what to do next.

She ran down the stairs and out onto the street, her mind racing. She had no idea what she was going to do. She couldn't go back to her apartment, not after what had just happened. And she couldn't go to Nekomaru's place, not without talking to him first.

As she walked down the street, her mind in a whirl, she suddenly ran into someone. She looked up and saw that it was Nekomaru.

"Akane, what's wrong?" he asked, his eyes wide with concern.

Akane felt tears spill down her cheeks as she told him about the decision Yumi and Shigeru had made.

Nekomaru listened in silence, his face growing more and more shocked as she spoke.

"I'm so sorry, Akane," he said, his voice quiet. "I had no idea they were going to do something like this. I'll support you no matter what you decide to do."

Akane smiled, grateful for Nekomaru's understanding and support. Together, they began to brainstorm a way to overturn Yumi and Shigeru's decision. They knew it wouldn't be easy, but they were determined to fight for their future.
