The prestigious hospital of Mount Olympus was bustling with activity, but all of that faded into the background as Hephaestus, the Mexican god of fire and metalworking, came upon a striking sight. There, on her hands and knees in the doctor's office, was Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty. Her blonde hair cascaded down her back, and her blue eyes pleaded with the doctor.
Hephaestus's tan skin darkened as he took in the scene. "What's going on here?" he demanded, his dark curly brown hair falling into his eyes.
The doctor looked up from where he was crouched next to Aphrodite. "I'm afraid your wife is asking for something that we can't provide. She's too far along for an abortion."
Aphrodite turned to Hephaestus, her eyes flashing. "Is this what you want, Hephaestus? A child tying us down?" she asked, her voice dripping with sarcasm.
Hephaestus was taken aback. "I-I don't know, Aphrodite. I never thought... I never thought this would happen."
Aphrodite scoffed, getting to her feet. "Of course you didn't. You men never do."
Hephaestus felt the sting of her words. "I'm not like the other men, Aphrodite. I'm not a god who sleeps around."
Aphrodite rolled her eyes. "Oh, please. You're just as bad as the rest of them. You just hide it better."
Hephaestus was hurt by her words. "I may not be perfect, Aphrodite, but I deserve more respect than that." He turned and left the doctor's office, leaving Aphrodite alone.
Aphrodite, feeling guilty for her harsh words, followed Hephaestus. She tried to apologize, but he brushed her off. "I can't believe you would say something like that to me," he said, his voice cold.
Aphrodite, feeling helpless, returned to the doctor's office. She pleaded with the doctor to do something, anything, to end her pregnancy. But the doctor shook his head. "I'm sorry, Aphrodite. It's too late for that now."
Aphrodite left the hospital, feeling lost and alone. But as she walked through the streets of Mount Olympus, something changed. She felt a sense of protectiveness over the twins growing inside of her. She couldn't explain it, but she knew that she would do anything to keep them safe.
Nine months later, on July 9th, Aphrodite gave birth to her twins, Leo and Piper, both Mexican, tan skin, dark brown hair. The doctor immediately took the babies away when they were born and two hours later came back with them swaddled and asleep and handed them to Aphrodite.
As she held her children, the doctor revealed that they were special. The boy, Leo, was a fire user, meaning he could make fire from his hands and was fire proof. The last fire user was in 1666.
Aphrodite was intrigued. "And the girl?" she asked.
The doctor revealed that the girl, Piper, was a charm speak user, meaning she could make people do whatever she wanted them to do. Only Aphrodite had ever had that ability.
Aphrodite felt a sense of pride wash over her. Her children were truly extraordinary. She vowed to protect them at all costs, no matter what it took.
And so, the stage was set for the rest of the story. The twins, with their special abilities, would face many challenges and dangers in the world of the gods. But with their mother, the powerful and determined Aphrodite, by their side, they would be ready for anything.
