The grand hall of Mount Olympus was alive with the sounds of laughter and conversation as the gods and goddesses gathered for a feast hosted by Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty. The air was thick with the aroma of ambrosia and nectar, and the tables were laden with an array of delectable foods. Aphrodite's twins, Leonidas and Piper, moved through the crowd, serving the guests with grace and poise.
But the festive atmosphere was shattered when Momus, the god of mockery, made his way to the twins. With a cruel smirk on his face, he looked Leonidas and Piper up and down and said, "Ah, the products of a drunken one-night stand. I can only imagine the mistake Aphrodite must have made when she conceived the two of you. She probably wanted an abortion, but Hephaestus wouldn't let her."
Hephaestus, the twins' father and Aphrodite's ex-husband, pulled Momus away from Leonidas and Piper before things could escalate. But Aphrodite was already on her feet, her eyes blazing with anger.
"How dare you, Momus," she said, her voice shaking with fury. "Leonidas and Piper are not mistakes. They are the result of a love between Hephaestus and I, a love that was strong and true."
Momus scoffed at Aphrodite's sentimentality. "Love? You and Hephaestus were never in love. You were just using him for his skills as a blacksmith."
Aphrodite's face twisted with disgust. "You know nothing of love, Momus. Hephaestus and I were in love when we conceived the twins, but we divorced due to his insecurities. Our love was real, and it still is. And Leonidas and Piper are proof of that."
Momus shook his head, a sneer on his face. "They may be your children, but they are half-breeds, thanks to their Mexican heritage. They will never be truly accepted by the gods and goddesses of Mount Olympus."
Aphrodite's anger boiled over, and she threw a glass of wine at Momus. He easily dodged it, but the look of rage on Aphrodite's face made him take a step back.
Hephaestus stepped in, his voice firm. "That's enough, Momus. Back off."
But Momus was not one to back down. He continued to provoke Aphrodite, calling her a weak and vain goddess.
Aphrodite's eyes flashed, and she cast a spell on Momus. In an instant, he was covered in hives, his skin itching all over. He let out a cry of pain and tried to leave the feast, but Aphrodite stopped him.
"Your mockery and insults are hurtful and unacceptable, Momus," she said, her voice cold and hard. "You will apologize to Leonidas and Piper, and to me, or you will suffer the consequences."
Momus, still itching and in pain, refused to apologize. He insulted Aphrodite's appearance, calling her a shallow and vain goddess.
Aphrodite's fury was unleashed, and she turned Momus into a donkey. With a wave of her hand, she banished him from Mount Olympus.
The guests at the feast cheered for Aphrodite's victory and praised her strength and beauty. Leonidas and Piper thanked their mother for standing up for them and expressed their love and gratitude.
Aphrodite, touched by her twins' affection, told them that she would always protect and love them, no matter what. And with that, the feast continued, the atmosphere lighter and more joyful than before.
