Artemis sat in her chamber, surrounded by the peaceful quiet of the temple. Her telescope was fixed on the stars, and she was deep in thought, lost in the beauty of the universe. She barely noticed when the door creaked open, her mind too occupied with the wonders of the cosmos.
But then she felt it, the unmistakable presence of another goddess. She turned to see Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty, slipping into her chamber with a wicked grin on her face.
"Aphrodite," Artemis said, her voice laced with warning. "What are you doing here?"
Aphrodite just laughed, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Oh, come on, Artemis. You're no fun. I thought I'd pay you a little visit."
Artemis narrowed her eyes. "I don't have time for your games, Aphrodite. I'm busy."
Aphrodite waved a hand dismissively. "Busy? You're always busy. When was the last time you had some fun, Artemis?"
Artemis scoffed. "Fun? I don't need fun. I have my work, my duties. That's enough for me."
Aphrodite shook her head. "You're too serious, Artemis. You need to lighten up."
Before Artemis could respond, Aphrodite cast a sleeping spell on her. Artemis felt her eyes grow heavy, her mind growing foggy. She tried to fight it, but it was no use. She collapsed on her bed, unaware of the danger that lurked.
Aphrodite opened the door and let in a slobbering, ugly dog. It approached Artemis, its eyes glowing with a strange light. Artemis stirred in her sleep, her brow furrowing as she sensed the presence of the dog.
Aphrodite watched with glee as the dog jumped on Artemis's bed, its tongue lolling out of its mouth. Artemis wakes up with a start, her eyes wide with fear as she sees the dog looming over her.
"Aphrodite!" she snarls. "What have you done?"
Aphrodite can't contain her laughter anymore and bursts out laughing, her voice echoing through the chamber.
Artemis grits her teeth, her hands clenched into fists. "This is not a prank, Aphrodite. This is an act of violence. You should be ashamed of yourself!"
Aphrodite rolls her eyes. "Oh, don't be so dramatic, Artemis. It's just a dog. It's not like it's going to hurt you."
Artemis raises an eyebrow. "You think so? Watch this." She grabs the dog by its collar and pulls it towards her, her eyes never leaving Aphrodite's. "Now, tell me, Aphrodite. How does it feel to be on the receiving end of a violent act?"
Aphrodite's grin falters, and for a moment, she looks genuinely shocked. But then she recovers, her eyes twinkling with amusement. "Oh, Artemis. You always know how to make me laugh."
Artemis glares at her, her eyes blazing with anger. "This is not funny, Aphrodite. You need to learn to respect other people's boundaries."
Aphrodite snickers. "Oh, come on, Artemis. It was just a harmless prank. Lighten up!"
Artemis shakes her head. "No, Aphrodite. This is not a prank. This is a violation. And I won't stand for it."
Aphrodite looks at Artemis, her expression serious for a moment. Then she smiles, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Fine, Artemis. I'll leave you alone. But remember, life is too short to be so serious all the time."
Artemis watches as Aphrodite leaves her chamber, the dog following at her heels. She takes a deep breath, her heart still racing from the encounter. She knows that Aphrodite means well, but she can't help but feel violated. She resolves to have a talk with her about boundaries and respect. After all, they may be goddesses, but they are still women, and they deserve to be treated with dignity and respect.
