Aphrodite's Tantric Tangle: When Momus Pokes Fun, Hephaestus Fans the Flames And here's a short excerpt of the story: Aphrodite's sapphire eyes flashed with fury as she stood protectively in front of her twins, Leonidas and Piper. How dare you, Momus! she spat, her voice dripping with venom. You know very well that my children are not a result of a drunken one-night stand. They are the product of love, even if it was short-lived. Momus, the god of mockery, raised an eyebrow and smirked. Oh, come now, Aphrodite. You and Hephaestus were never meant to be. Your twins are just a reminder of a mistake you both made. Hephaestus, the muscular Mexican god of fire and metalworking, stepped forward, his dark eyes blazing. You will not speak of my children that way, Momus. They are a blessing, not a mistake. Momus shrugged, unrepentant. Fine, have it your way. But don't say I didn't warn you when your little love affair blows up in your face. Aphrodite rolled her eyes. Oh, please. You're just jealous because you'll never know the joy of creating something as beautiful and perfect as my twins. Momus snorted. Joy? Ha! The only joy I get is from watching you and Hephaestus bicker like an old married couple. Aphrodite's lips curled into a playful smile. Well, if that's the case, I hope you're ready for a show. Because when it comes to my babies, I don't mess around. And with that, she grabbed Hephaestus by the arm and pulled him close, her blonde hair brushing against his chiseled chest. Let's give Momus something to really laugh about, she whispered, her voice husky with desire. Hephaestus grinned, his eyes twinkling with mischief. With pleasure, my goddess. And the two of them proceeded to engage in a passionate display of affection, leaving Momus standing on the sidelines, his mouth hanging open in shock. I guess that's one way to shut him up, Aphrodite giggled, as she and Hephaestus pulled away from each other, their chests heaving with exertion. Momus could only sputter in disbelief as he watched the two of them walk away, hand in hand. I-I can't believe you just did that, he stammered. Aphrodite turned back and winked. Believe it, Momus. And next time, think twice before you mock what you don't understand.

Chapter One: Aphrodite’s Fury

The grand hall of Mount Olympus was never short of drama, but today’s events had reached a new level of intensity. Aphrodite, the goddess of love, stood in the center of the room, her eyes blazing with anger as she faced off against Momus, the god of mockery.

“Your children are a mistake, Aphrodite,” Momus taunted, his voice dripping with disdain. “A drunken one-night stand that you wanted to abort when you found out you were pregnant.”

Aphrodite’s face turned red with fury, her voice echoing through the grand hall as she shot back, “How dare you speak of my children that way, Momus. They are a gift from the gods, and I will not tolerate your insults.”

Hephaestus, Aphrodite’s ex-husband and the father of her twins, stepped in, pulling Momus away from his ex-wife. “That’s enough, Momus. You’ve gone too far.”

Momus sneered, “I’m just stating the truth, Hephaestus. Your children are a joke among the gods.”

Aphrodite’s eyes narrowed as she turned her attention back to Momus. “I am the goddess of love, Momus. I bring beauty and desire to the world. My children are a reflection of that.”

Hephaestus tried to calm Aphrodite down, reminding her of her divine status. “Aphrodite, my love, you must maintain your composure. We are gods, and we must set an example for the mortals.”

Aphrodite snapped back, “I am well aware of my status, Hephaestus. But I will not stand here and let Momus insult my children.”

Momus couldn’t resist egging her on, “Oh, come on, Aphrodite. Lighten up. It was just a joke.”

Aphrodite’s eyes flashed with anger, “You will not speak of my children that way again, Momus. Do I make myself clear?”

Leonidas and Piper, Aphrodite’s twins, entered the grand hall, looking confused and worried by the commotion. Aphrodite quickly composed herself, greeting her children with a warm smile and hugging them tightly.

Momus tried to apologize, but Aphrodite cut him off. “You will never speak ill of my children again, Momus. Do you understand me?”

Hephaestus agreed, adding, “I will not tolerate any disrespect towards my children, Momus. You would do well to remember that.”

Defeated, Momus grumbled under his breath as he left the grand hall. Aphrodite turned her attention back to her children, asking them about their day and showing them affection.

Hephaestus watched with a soft smile, happy to see Aphrodite and his children getting along. The grand hall returned to its usual peaceful atmosphere, but the memory of Aphrodite’s fury remained.

Aphrodite may have been the goddess of love, but she was also a strong, controlling, and direct woman. And when it came to her children, she was not afraid to show her fury.
