The cozy living room of the gods was bathed in sunlight, casting a warm glow on the laughter-filled space. Apollo, the god of the sun, sat on the plush couch, his eyes never straying from his 10-month-old daughter, Bryer. Her brown hair and dark eyes were a stark contrast to his curly blonde hair and blue eyes.
Bryer grabbed a toy and Apollo gently took it away, saying, "Bryer, you can't have this."
Bryer clapped her hands at Apollo, and he gasped, "Did you just clap at me, ma'am? That was not nice, Bryer. That was sassy."
Dionysus, Apollo's husband, snickered beside him, and Apollo shot him a playful glare. "It's not funny," Apollo said.
Apollo looked back at Bryer, who held her finger up at him. "That is sassy," Apollo said, trying to suppress a smile.
Dionysus, with his purple hair that looked black and dark eyes, couldn't contain his laughter any longer. "You're one to talk, Mr. Sunshine," he said.
Apollo raised an eyebrow. "Excuse me?"
Dionysus grinned. "Where did all that sass come from?"
Apollo feigned innocence. "What sass?"
Dionysus chuckled. "Oh, come on. You're the god of the sun. You're supposed to be warm and inviting, not sassy and stubborn."
Apollo pouted. "I can be sassy if I want to be."
Dionysus laughed. "I know, and that's why I love you."
Apollo blushed and looked back at Bryer, who had moved on to a new toy. "I guess she gets her sass from me," he said, smiling.
Dionysus wrapped his arm around Apollo. "Yes, you're her father, after all."
Apollo leaned into Dionysus' embrace. "And you're her other father," he said, looking up at Dionysus with love and admiration.
Dionysus kissed the top of Apollo's head. "Indeed, I am."
Bryer cooed, bringing the two gods back to the present. Apollo looked at his daughter with pride, knowing that she was a perfect mix of both of them.
"She's going to be a force to be reckoned with," Apollo said, a hint of worry in his voice.
Dionysus laughed. "That's for sure. But with you and me as her fathers, she'll be just fine."
Apollo smiled, feeling a sense of peace wash over him. "Yes, she will."
The three of them sat in the sunlight, the laughter and love filling the room. The sassy sunshine and his family, a perfect combination.
