The playroom of the godly abode was filled with the sound of laughter and playful banter as Apollo, the god of the sun, watched his 10-month-old daughter, Bryer, play with her toys. With her brown hair and dark eyes, she was a stark contrast to his curly blonde hair and blue eyes.
"Bryer, you can't have this," Apollo said, taking a toy away from her.
Bryer clapped her hands at Apollo, surprising him. He gasped, "Did you just clap at me, ma'am? That was not nice, Bryer. That was sassy."
Dionysus, god of wine and revelry, snickered beside Apollo. Apollo glared at him and said, "It's not funny."
But Dionysus couldn't contain his laughter any longer. With his purple hair that was so dark it looked black and dark eyes, he said, "You have no one to blame but yourself, Apollo."
Apollo raised an eyebrow, "What do you mean?"
Dionysus smirked, "You're the one who always says she's a mini version of you, with your fiery personality and all."
Apollo rolled his eyes, "Yes, but I didn't mean she would sass me like this."
Dionysus chuckled, "Well, she is your daughter after all."
Apollo looked back at Bryer, who was still playing, and couldn't help but smile. He said, "Fine, I'll take the sassiness as a compliment."
Dionysus clapped him on the back, "That's the spirit, Apollo. Now, let's see who can make her laugh the loudest."
The two gods started making funny faces and noises, trying to make Bryer laugh. Bryer giggled and clapped, her sassiness forgotten in the moment.
Apollo looked at Dionysus, "I think we both win."
Dionysus grinned, "Always, Apollo. Always."
As the three of them continued to play, Apollo couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and joy. His little sassy sunshine was a perfect blend of him and the world around her. And he wouldn't have it any other way.
