Artemis Unleashed: A Celestial Love Triangle or A Hunter's Moon(light) Indiscretion

Chapter One: A Brother’s Suspicions

Artemis, the goddess of the hunt and the moon, was perched on a marble bench in her temple, nestled deep within the forest. She was meticulously cleaning her hunting bow when her brother, Apollo, the god of the sun, music, and prophecy, made his appearance.

Artemis looked up, her face lighting up as she greeted him with a warm hug. “Apollo, what brings you here?” she asked, her voice laced with genuine surprise.

Apollo pulled back, his nose twitching as he sniffed the air around her. His eyebrow quirked up in amusement. “Do I smell…sex?” he asked, a smirk playing on his lips.

Artemis’ face turned a deep shade of red, and she stuttered, “I-I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

Apollo chuckled, his eyes gleaming with mischief. “Liar. You’re as transparent as glass, sister. Who was it?”

Artemis hesitated for a moment before letting out a sigh. “Fine. It was Orion,” she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper.

Apollo’s eyes widened in shock, and he spluttered, “Orion?! But he’s one of your hunters! You took a vow of chastity!”

Artemis rolled her eyes, “Yes, I know. But he’s also incredibly handsome, and I couldn’t resist.”

Apollo looked at her, his expression a mixture of shock and anger. He reached for his bow and arrows. “I’ll kill him,” he growled, his voice low and menacing.

Artemis was quick to react, grabbing his arm to stop him. “No, you won’t. I forbid it,” she said, her voice firm and unyielding.

Apollo glared at her, “You can’t forbid me to do anything, Artemis. I’m a god.”

Artemis raised an eyebrow, “And I’m a goddess. Don’t forget that.”

Apollo scoffed, “You’re just the goddess of the moon and hunt. I’m the god of the sun, music, and prophecy. I have more power than you.”

Artemis laughed, “You may have more power, but I’m more cunning. And I won’t let you hurt Orion.”

Apollo sighed, “Fine. But if he hurts you, I’ll kill him.”

Artemis rolled her eyes, “Yes, yes, I know. Now, can we please drop this subject?”

Apollo nodded, albeit reluctantly, and the two of them continued their conversation, the tension in the air slowly dissipating.

As the day wore on, Artemis couldn’t help but feel a sense of pride for standing up to her brother. She was the goddess of the hunt, after all, and she wouldn’t let anyone, not even her own brother, dictate her actions. She was in control of her own destiny, and she wouldn’t let anyone take that away from her.

As the sun began to set, Apollo took his leave, leaving Artemis alone in her temple. She smiled to herself, feeling a sense of contentment wash over her. She had broken her vow of chastity, but she didn’t regret it. Orion was worth it.

And as she gazed up at the moon, she knew that she would do anything to protect him, even if it meant standing up to her own brother. She was a goddess, after all, and she wouldn’t let anyone stand in her way.
