Athena's Divine Delivery: When Wisdom and War Collide with Herculean Hormones

Chapter One: Labor of Love

The delivery room was filled with a tense energy as Athena lay on the hospital bed, her face contorted in pain. She let out a low growl as another contraction hit her, gritting her teeth and gripping the bed sheets.

The doctor, a kind-faced middle-aged man, asked her, "Do you want the father of your children to be present during the delivery?"

Athena's eyes narrowed as she thought back to her one-night stand with Hercules. She snorted and said, "Hercules? He couldn't handle a goddess like me. He's probably lifting weights somewhere, oblivious to the fact that he's about to become a father."

The doctor chuckled and said, "Well, if you change your mind, just let me know."

Athena's best friend, Artemis, entered the room, her blonde hair pulled back into a tight ponytail. She looked at Athena with concern and asked, "How are you holding up?"

Athena rolled her eyes and said, "I've faced worse battles, Artemis. These contractions are nothing compared to fighting a horde of monsters."

Artemis smirked and said, "True, but at least you don't have to worry about getting your clothes dirty in this battle."

Athena stuck her tongue out at Artemis, who laughed and shook her head.

Suddenly, another contraction hit Athena, and she gripped the bed sheets tightly. Artemis looked at the doctor and said, "Shouldn't we start the delivery process?"

The doctor nodded and said, "Yes, it's time. Athena, take a deep breath and push when I tell you to."

Athena took a deep breath and pushed, her face turning red with the effort. After a few minutes of pushing, the doctor said, "The first baby is coming! Keep pushing, Athena!"

With one final push, Athena's first child, Annabeth, was born, her curly blonde hair and grey eyes a perfect blend of her parents. Athena collapsed back onto the bed, exhausted but elated. She looked at Annabeth and said, "Welcome to the world, my beautiful daughter."

Artemis smiled and said, "She's perfect, Athena. Just like her mother."

Athena chuckled and said, "Don't flatter me, Artemis. I'm still the goddess of war, after all."

The doctor said, "Alright, Athena, it's time to deliver the second baby."

Athena took a deep breath and prepared to push again, ready to meet her second child.

As she pushed, she couldn't help but think about the father of her children. She knew that Hercules was probably nowhere near the delivery room, but she couldn't help but feel a twinge of disappointment. She had always imagined having a family with someone who could match her strength and power.

But as she looked at her two beautiful children, she knew that she didn't need a man to complete her. She was a goddess, after all, and she could do anything on her own.

As the second baby was born, Athena felt a sense of pride and accomplishment wash over her. She had brought two new life into the world, and she had done it on her own.

The doctor handed her the second baby, a boy with dark hair and green eyes. Athena looked at him and said, "Welcome to the world, my beautiful son. You and your sister are going to do great things."

Artemis smiled and said, "You're right, Athena. These two are going to be unstoppable."

Athena nodded and said, "Damn right. They're going to be just like their mother."

As the three of them left the delivery room, Athena couldn't help but feel a sense of empowerment. She was a goddess, a warrior, and a mother. And she couldn't wait to see what the future held for her and her children.
