Madeleine, now known as Leina in the privacy of the Auraeris estate, sank into the plush armchair by the fireplace, her body aching from the endless chatter and socializing of the night's party. With a sigh of relief, she loosened her hair from its intricate braid, feeling the weight of the heavy locks cascading down her back.
Frederick, ever the attentive host, poured them both a glass of wine, his movements fluid and graceful. He handed Leina her glass, his eyes twinkling with amusement as he took in the sight of her hair tumbling down her shoulders. "I see you've decided to let your hair down, Leina. Afraid the fire might spread rumors?"
Leina playfully rolled her eyes, taking a sip of her wine. "Don't be ridiculous, Frederick. I'm simply tired of the constraints of the evening. Besides, I trust you to keep the fire under control."
Frederick chuckled, moving to stand behind Leina. His touch was gentle and natural as he removed the remaining pins from her hair, letting the fiery locks fall free. "There, that's better," he murmured, his breath warm against her ear.
Leina leaned back against the chair, feeling more relaxed than she had all evening. "Thank you, Frederick. I didn't realize how tense I was until now."
Frederick took a seat next to Leina, his eyes never leaving her face. "You were the life of the party, Leina. I couldn't take my eyes off of you."
Leina stifled a yawn, her exhaustion catching up to her. "I'm sorry, Frederick. I didn't mean to be such poor company. I'm simply too tired to keep up the charade."
Frederick teased her, his voice low and husky. "You could have refused the guests, you know. I would have understood."
Leina shot him a playful glare, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "And miss out on the opportunity to dazzle them with my wit and charm? Never."
Frederick laughed, his head thrown back in delight. "You are a force to be reckoned with, Leina. I'm lucky to have you by my side."
Leina, now too tired to argue, allowed Frederick to help her to the bed. He assured her she would sleep better, his voice soothing and calming.
As Leina drifted off to sleep, her head resting on Frederick's shoulder, she couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment and safety. Frederick watched her, a gentle expression on his face, his eyes full of warmth and affection.
Morning sunlight filtered through the curtains, revealing Leina lying on top of Frederick, her body tangled with his. Both were confused about how they ended up in this position, their minds still fuzzy with sleep.
Leina accused Frederick of not moving when she leaned on him, her voice still thick with sleep. Frederick countered that she didn't move either, his voice low and husky.
Leina realized that she had touched Frederick's chest and waist as well, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment. Both were surprised by their actions, but neither was upset.
Leina, still blushing, worried about the implications of their actions. Frederick reassured her that nothing had happened and no one had seen them.
Leina noticed a red lipstick mark on Frederick's neck, her eyes widening in horror. Frederick found it amusing and playful, his eyes sparkling with mischief.
Leina protested as Frederick considered leaving a mark on her in return, her heart racing with anticipation. He leaned in closer, teasing her about her accidental mark.
Leina's breath hitched as Frederick wondered aloud what she tasted like, his voice low and seductive. He kissed her, leaving her breathless and wanting more.
Frederick pressed a soft kiss to Leina's neck, paralleling the lipstick mark. Leina, still surprised by their actions, pulled away, her eyes wide with shock.
Leina asked Frederick what they were doing, her voice trembling with desire. Frederick smiled, satisfied by the intimacy they'd shared, and replied that they were figuring it out.
And as the morning sunlight filtered through the curtains, Leina and Frederick continued to explore the depths of their desire, their bodies entwined in a dance as old as time itself.
