Hephaestus stormed into the forsaken corners of Olympus, his dark eyes flashing with anger and his tanned skin glistening with sweat. His dark brown hair was disheveled, a testament to the heated argument he'd just had with Zeus. He needed solace, a refuge from the suffocating politics of the gods.
As he vented his frustration on the abandoned gods' playground, he stumbled upon a hidden door, half-concealed by vines and overgrown foliage. A strange pull drew him towards it, as if guided by an unseen force. He pushed against the door, revealing a dimly lit chamber within.
In the dimness, he saw a figure lying motionless on a makeshift bed. As his eyes adjusted to the darkness, he recognized her: Scarlet, the sister of Zeus, with her striking albinism making her stand out even in the shadows - red eyes, white hair, and pale skin. He winced as he noticed her leg was twisted at an unnatural angle, bone protruding from her knee. He felt a pang of sympathy for her pain.
"Scarlet?" he called out, but she didn't stir. He reached out to touch her, and her skin felt cold, almost lifeless. Suddenly, he remembered the security footage and the curse Zeus had put on her. Panic gripped him as he realized she'd been asleep for who knew how long.
He tried to shake her awake, but she remained unresponsive. He worried that she might never wake up. With a determined look in his eyes, he decided to find a way to break the curse. He searched the chamber, looking for any clues or objects that might help him.
Hidden under a pile of rags, he found a small, intricately carved box. He opened it, revealing a scroll with symbols he didn't recognize. He brought the scroll to the other gods, hoping one of them could decipher it.
Poseidon, with a playful smirk, read the scroll, revealing the curse could only be broken by a god who truly loved Scarlet. Hephaestus was taken aback, realizing his feelings for Scarlet ran deeper than he thought.
"Well, well, well," Poseidon said, his eyes twinkling with mischief. "It seems you have a more significant stake in this than we thought."
Hephaestus scowled at him. "This isn't a game, Poseidon."
"Oh, lighten up, Hephaestus," Poseidon replied, patting him on the shoulder. "Love can be a powerful motivator. Use it to your advantage."
With newfound determination, Hephaestus set out to break the curse and awaken the sleeping goddess. But would his feelings be enough to save her? Only time would tell.
