The Grand Hall of Olympus was buzzing with the sound of a thousand gods and goddesses murmuring amongst themselves. The air was thick with anticipation, as they had all gathered for an emergency meeting. At the head of the room stood Hephaestus, the god of fire and the forge, his dark eyes scanning the crowd. His tan skin was flushed, and his dark brown hair was disheveled, as if he had been running his hands through it in frustration. In his hands, he held a small box, which seemed to be the cause of all the commotion.
Hephaestus took a deep breath and addressed the pantheon, his voice steady and determined. "Father, I have something to share with all of you."
Zeus, the king of the gods, narrowed his eyes at his son. "Hephaestus, I told you to stop snooping around in my room."
Hephaestus ignored his father's warning and continued. "I found this box while going through your and Mother's room. I didn't mean to pry, but something about it caught my eye."
The room grew quiet as Hephaestus opened the box, revealing a small, intricately carved figurine of a goddess. She had alabaster skin and fiery red hair, and her kind eyes seemed to gaze back at them, even in her sleeping state.
Hephaestus looked at his father, his determination turning to nervousness. "Father, I know who this is. This is Scarlet, the albino goddess."
Gasps filled the room as Hephaestus revealed the secret that Zeus had hidden for so long. Zeus's face turned red with anger as he demanded Hephaestus to stop talking.
But Hephaestus persisted. "Father, you cursed Scarlet so she would remain asleep until someone found her. You abandoned her, and you lied to all of us, saying that she was dead."
Poseidon, unable to contain his shock, asked Zeus if the accusations were true. "Is it true, Father? Did you really abandon Scarlet?"
Zeus tried to defend himself, but Hephaestus countered by revealing that Zeus had lied to Poseidon, Hades, Demeter, Hera, and Hestia, saying that Scarlet was dead when in reality, he had just abandoned her somewhere on Olympus.
Hera, Scarlet's mother, looked hurt and betrayed by her husband's actions. She confronted Zeus about his actions, her voice shaking with anger. "How could you do this, Zeus? She was our daughter, and you abandoned her?"
The room was filled with tension as the gods and goddesses waited for Zeus's response. But Zeus, realizing that he couldn't deny the truth, admitted to his actions, but tried to justify them by saying that he only wanted what was best for Olympus.
Hephaestus retorted by saying that Zeus's actions were selfish and manipulative. "Father, you may be the king of the gods, but that doesn't give you the right to manipulate and abandon those who trust you."
The pantheon began to argue amongst themselves, with some siding with Zeus and others with Hephaestus. But Hephaestus stood firm, refusing to back down from his beliefs.
The chapter ended with the pantheon in disarray, as Hephaestus's revelation threatened to shake the very foundation of Olympus. The gods and goddesses looked at each other, unsure of what the future held for their kingdom.
But one thing was certain - Scarlet's story was far from over.
