Adrien and Guillaume trudged through the snow, their breaths coming out in white puffs as they made their way deeper into the forest. Guillaume looked up at Adrien, shivering. "Are we there yet?" he asked, sticking his tongue out at the cold.
Adrien chuckled, ruffling Guillaume's fur. "Almost, little one. Just a little further." He spotted a small, abandoned house in the distance and picked up the pace, eager to get out of the cold.
As they approached the house, Adrien noticed a group of strange insects crawling on the ground. He bent down to get a closer look, intrigued. "Hey, Guillaume, come look at these bugs!"
Guillaume came over and wrinkled his nose. "Ew, they're gross. Let's go inside."
Adrien ignored him, poking at one of the insects with a stick. Suddenly, the insect reared up and stabbed at Adrien's pants with a long, bulbous appendage. Adrien jumped back, startled.
Guillaume burst out laughing. "Serves you right for poking it, you big dummy!"
Adrien scowled at him, but couldn't help but chuckle. "I guess you're right. Those things are weird, though. I've never seen anything like them before."
They went inside the house and started a fire to warm up. Adrien couldn't shake off the feeling of the insect's appendage, and kept looking at his pants nervously.
Guillaume noticed and smirked. "Uh, Adrien...is something wrong?"
Adrien looked down and gasped. A large, red orb was pulsing inside his pants, connected to his groin by a murky white goo.
Guillaume burst out laughing. "Oh my god, you've got a parasite! This is hilarious!"
Adrien glared at him. "This is not funny, you little brat! Get it off me!"
Guillaume raised an eyebrow. "How do you propose I do that? It's attached to you."
Adrien growled in frustration. "Fine, I'll figure it out myself." He tried to pull the parasite off, but it only seemed to tighten its grip.
Guillaume watched him struggle for a moment before offering, "Here, let me try." He reached out and touched the white goo. Suddenly, the goo began to dissolve, and the parasite fell off Adrien's pants.
Adrien looked at Guillaume in surprise. "How did you do that?"
Guillaume shrugged. "I have no idea. It just...worked."
Adrien shook his head in disbelief. "Well, whatever. I'm just glad it's gone."
Guillaume grinned. "You know, this could be a good thing. We could study it, figure out what it is and how it works."
Adrien raised an eyebrow. "You want to study a parasite? You're even weirder than those bugs outside."
Guillaume stuck his tongue out at him. "You're just jealous because I'm the one who saved the day."
Adrien chuckled and ruffled Guillaume's fur again. "Fine, you win. But we're not studying that thing. It's gone, and that's all that matters."
Guillaume pouted but didn't argue. Instead, he settled down by the fire, content to bask in the warmth and the satisfaction of a job well done. Adrien joined him, still a little shaken but grateful to be alive and well.
As they sat together, Adrien couldn't help but feel a newfound respect for Guillaume. He had always known the little fox was smart and resourceful, but he had never realized just how strong and controlling he could be.
Adrien smiled to himself. Maybe this strange adventure wasn't so bad after all. At least he had Guillaume by his side.
