Big, Bad, and In Love: The Orc's Unconventional Courtship

The Green-Skinned Comforter

The cave was small, but cozy, illuminated by the warm glow of the fire. Orcish tapestries adorned the walls, their vibrant colors casting dancing shadows across the space. Elfish trinkets, gifts from Eolande to Gruk, were scattered here and there, tiny reminders of the unlikely couple that called this cave home.

Eolande, the elf boy, sat nervously on a fur rug, his slender fingers fidgeting with a twig. His big, green orc girlfriend, Gruk, noticed his discomfort from where she sat across the fire.

"What's bothering you, little elf?" Gruk asked, her deep voice rumbling through the cave. She patted the spot next to her, inviting Eolande to come closer.

Eolande hesitated, his eyes darting to Gruk and then away. "It's... it's us," he finally said, his voice barely above a whisper. "Our size difference, our age difference... I can't help but worry that you'll grow tired of me, that you'll leave me for a stronger, older orc."

Gruk chuckled, a sound that shook the cave. She reached out and patted Eolande's head, her hand nearly swallowing him whole. "You think I need a big, burly orc to protect me? I can handle myself, little elf."

Eolande blushed, looking up at Gruk with admiration. "I know, it's just... I want to be enough for you."

Gruk's face softened, her tusks gleaming in the firelight. She pulled Eolande into a tight embrace, his small body fitting perfectly against hers. "You are more than enough, Eolande. You make me happy."

Eolande sighed in relief, nuzzling against Gruk's chest. "I'm sorry, I just get worried sometimes."

Gruk ruffled Eolande's hair, her fingers gentle despite their size. "It's alright, I understand. But let me assure you, I'm not going anywhere."

Eolande looked up at Gruk, his eyes shining with gratitude. "Thank you, Gruk. I love you."

Gruk smiled, her tusks showing. "I love you too, little elf. Now, let's enjoy our time together."

Eolande nodded, snuggling closer to Gruk. He watched as she started humming a soothing tune, her deep voice resonating through the cave. His eyes started to droop, lulled by the rhythm of her humming.

Gruk noticed this and started gently stroking Eolande's hair, helping him fall asleep. Eolande drifted off, his head on Gruk's lap, feeling safe and loved.

Gruk watched over him, a soft smile on her face. Her heart was full of affection for her little elf. She knew they were an unlikely pair, but she wouldn't have it any other way. Eolande was her comforter, her happiness, her love. And she was his protector, his strength, his home.

As Eolande slept, Gruk continued to hum, her voice a constant presence in the cave. She knew they would face challenges, just like any other couple. But she also knew that they would face them together. And that was all that mattered.
