Isabella sat at the grand dining table, her dinner growing cold as she picked at it absentmindedly. The mansion was too quiet, too empty. She couldn't help but feel a sense of loneliness in the opulent space.
Suddenly, the front door opened and closed with a heavy thud. Isabella's heart skipped a beat as she heard footsteps approaching. She stood up, smoothing out her dress as she prepared to greet her husband, Feres.
Feres entered the dining hall, his pristine suit now stained with blood. Isabella's eyes widened in shock, but she tried to keep her cool. "Had a rough day at the office, dear?" she asked, her voice laced with sarcasm.
Feres didn't respond, instead he walked past her and headed towards the bathroom. Isabella couldn't help but feel a pang of fear as she watched him leave. She decided to follow him, her curiosity getting the best of her.
She found him in the bathroom, stripping off his blood-soaked clothes. Isabella leaned against the door frame, watching him. "You know, most husbands come home and share their day with their wives. Not dump a pile of bloody clothes on the floor," she said, raising an eyebrow.
Feres glared at her, but said nothing. Isabella felt a thrill run down her spine. She'd never seen him look so vulnerable before. She stepped forward, reaching out to touch his shoulder. Feres flinched at her touch, but didn't pull away.
Isabella felt a strange sense of power. "You're not the monster everyone thinks you are," she said, her voice soft. Feres looked at her, his expression unreadable.
Isabella took a deep breath, deciding to take a risk. She stepped closer, pressing her body against his. Feres tensed, but didn't push her away. Isabella started to unbutton his shirt, her fingers trembling. She could feel Feres' heart racing under her touch.
"You're not alone, Feres. I'm here for you," she whispered in his ear. Feres closed his eyes, his breath hitching.
Isabella finished unbuttoning his shirt, letting it fall to the floor. She took a step back, admiring Feres' toned body. "You're beautiful, you know that?" she said, her voice filled with admiration.
Feres looked at her, his expression softening. Isabella took his hand, leading him out of the bathroom and towards the bedroom. She couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. For the first time, she felt like she was in control.
As they entered the bedroom, Isabella turned to face Feres. "Tell me what happened," she said, her voice firm.
Feres hesitated, but then sighed. "It was a business deal gone wrong. One of the men didn't agree to the terms, and things escalated quickly."
Isabella nodded, understanding. "And you had to defend yourself," she said, her voice soft.
Feres looked at her, his expression grateful. "Yes," he said simply.
Isabella stepped closer, wrapping her arms around Feres. "I'm here for you, no matter what," she said, her voice fierce.
Feres pulled her closer, his arms tightening around her. "I know," he said, his voice hoarse.
For the first time since they were married, Isabella felt like she truly understood Feres. And as they stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, she knew that their marriage would be stronger than ever.
