I found myself perched on the edge of Chloe’s bed, our legs brushing against each other as she sat cross-legged in front of me. She was wearing a cozy sweater and leggings, and I couldn’t help but notice the way her body was starting to fill out – the curves that were becoming more defined, the way her legs seemed to go on for miles.
Chloe must have noticed me staring, because she suddenly started fidgeting, her cheeks turning a soft shade of pink. “Stop staring, John,” she said, playfully swatting my arm.
I raised an eyebrow at her. “Oh, I’m sorry. I didn’t realize I was making you uncomfortable.”
She rolled her eyes. “You know exactly what you’re doing. You’re just trying to make me blush.”
I grinned at her. “Is it working?”
She stuck her tongue out at me. “No, not at all.”
I couldn’t help but laugh at her feisty attitude. “You’re such a liar. I bet you’re blushing all over.”
Chloe’s cheeks turned an even deeper shade of pink, and she looked down at her legs. “Shut up,” she muttered.
I leaned in closer to her, my breath hot on her neck. “I bet I can make you blush even more,” I said, my voice low and teasing.
Chloe’s breath hitched as I brushed a stray hair away from her face. “John, stop,” she said, but her voice was weak and uncertain.
I ignored her, my hand reaching out to trace the curve of her waist. “You’re so beautiful, Chloe,” I whispered.
Chloe’s breath caught in her throat as I continued to touch her. “John, I don’t know if this is...if this is a good idea,” she stammered.
I pulled back, my hand dropping to my side. “I’m sorry, Chloe. I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable.”
Chloe looked up at me, her eyes wide and full of confusion. “I’m not uncomfortable...I just...I don’t know what I’m ready for.”
I nodded, understanding. “That’s okay, Chloe. We can take things slow.”
Chloe let out a sigh of relief. “Thank you, John. I don’t want to ruin our friendship.”
I smiled at her. “Our friendship is the last thing I would ever want to ruin. And who knows, maybe one day you’ll be ready for more.”
Chloe’s cheeks turned pink again, and she looked down at her hands. “Maybe,” she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
I stood up, knowing that I needed to give Chloe some space. “I should probably go,” I said.
Chloe looked up at me, her eyes full of gratitude. “Thank you for understanding, John.”
I leaned down and placed a gentle kiss on her forehead. “Anytime, Chloe. I’m always here for you.”
As I walked out of her bedroom, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of longing. I knew that Chloe wasn’t ready for anything more than friendship, but I couldn’t help the way I felt about her. I would wait as long as it took for her to be ready, because I knew that she was worth it.
