Blue-Eyed Boy's Forbidden Cigarette Swap: A Comedy of Cousins, Chocolate, and Late-Night Cravings

Chapter One: A Midnight Craving

The night was still, the house quiet as a grave. The only sound was the soft rustling of the leaves outside, stirred by a gentle breeze. I lay in my bed, unable to sleep. My mind was racing, my body tense, the aftershocks of the earthquake still lingering in my bones.

Suddenly, the silence was broken by the soft padding of footsteps in the hallway. I glanced at the clock: it was after midnight. Who could be up at this hour?

The footsteps drew closer, and I heard a soft voice call out, "Hey, can you help me with something?"

I recognized the voice immediately. It was my cousin, a brunette with a sharp tongue and a love for makeup. She was not what you would call traditionally beautiful, but there was something about her that drew you in.

"Sure," I called back, swinging my legs over the side of the bed and padding out into the hallway. "What do you need?"

She stood in front of me, a pack of cigarettes in her hand. "These are on a high shelf, and I can't reach them. Can you help me out?"

I nodded, reaching up to grab the cigarettes for her. As I handed them over, she offered me a piece of chocolate in thanks.

"No, thanks," I said, smiling. "I don't want to ruin my appetite."

She rolled her eyes, a playful smile on her lips. "You're such a health nut."

I laughed, shaking my head. "Not a health nut, just trying to take care of myself."

She chuckled, taking a drag of her cigarette. "Well, you're not so bad for a goody two-shoes."

I raised an eyebrow, grinning. "Is that a compliment?"

She shrugged, a mischievous glint in her eye. "Maybe. Or maybe I'm just saying that you're not as boring as you seem."

I laughed, feeling a warmth spread through my chest. There was something about her that made me feel alive, made my heart race.

"Well, I'm glad I could entertain you," I said, smiling.

She took another drag of her cigarette, her eyes locked on mine. "You know, you're not so bad for a goody two-shoes."

I smiled, feeling my cheeks flush. "Thanks. I think."

She chuckled, taking one last drag before putting out her cigarette. "Well, goodnight. Don't let the bedbugs bite."

I grinned, watching as she disappeared into her bedroom. I stood there for a moment, my mind racing, my heart pounding.

Maybe she was right. Maybe I wasn't as boring as I seemed.

I returned to my bedroom, a smile on my lips. As I lay down in my bed, I couldn't help but think about my cousin, and the spark that had ignited between us.

It was a midnight craving that I couldn't ignore.
