Blushing in the Boardroom: How a Successful Woman Found Charming Youth More Attractive than Muscles and Money

Chapter One: The Boy Next Door

The sun shone brightly overhead as Samantha and her group of girlfriends spread out a blanket in the bustling city park. The air was filled with the sound of laughter and gossip as they chatted animatedly, soaking up the warmth of the day.

Samantha, a successful businesswoman in her late thirties, was the epitome of confidence and independence. She had a sharp wit and a quick tongue, and her friends adored her for it.

As they sat there, one of her friends, Rachel, brought up the topic of men. "Sam, you never tell us about your love life. What's the deal?" she asked, a twinkle in her eye.

Samantha laughed. "I don't have time for a love life. I'm too busy running my own company."

Her friends teased her, calling her a workaholic, but Samantha didn't mind. She knew they were just joking.

"Besides," she added, "I have a type. And it's not the muscle-bound meatheads you all go for."

Her friends gasped, feigning shock. "What are you talking about, Sam?" Rachel asked.

Samantha grinned. "I like younger men. They're more... adventurous."

Her friends erupted into laughter, calling her a cougar. Samantha just rolled her eyes and laughed along.

As they continued to talk, Samantha's gaze drifted to a nearby bench. There, she spotted a shy high school boy, sitting alone and reading a book. He was young and innocent, and Samantha found herself immediately drawn to him.

Without hesitation, she stood up and walked over to him. He looked up as she approached, his cheeks flushing bright red.

"Hi there," Samantha said, a friendly smile on her face. "What are you reading?"

The boy stammered, trying to find the words. Samantha chuckled. "Don't be shy. I won't bite."

She introduced herself, and the boy did the same. His name was Alex, and he was a senior in high school.

Samantha made small talk with him, asking him about his book and his interests. She found him endearing, with his nervousness and innocence.

"You're different from the men I usually meet," she said, a teasing smile on her face. "They're all about muscles and money. But you... you have something much more appealing."

Alex looked at her, surprised and flattered. Samantha continued to talk to him, asking him about his hobbies and his dreams. She was surprised to find that they had a lot in common.

As the day wore on, Samantha invited Alex to join her and her friends for dinner. He hesitated, but eventually agreed.

At dinner, Samantha's friends were surprised to see the young boy sitting at the table with them. But they quickly warmed up to him, impressed by his intelligence and wit.

Samantha and Alex continued to talk and laugh, and by the end of the night, they had formed a strong connection.

As they said their goodbyes, Samantha couldn't help but feel a flutter of excitement. She had never felt this way about a younger man before.

But she shook her head, dismissing the thought. She was too independent, too strong, to let herself be swayed by a boy.

Or so she thought.

The night was still young, and Samantha couldn't wait to see what the future held for her and Alex.
