Chapter 1: The Bridle of Shame
Marney Kane wasn’t the type to break easily. A sharp-tongued, fiercely independent woman with a penchant for designer heels and maxed-out credit cards, she’d always lived life on her terms. But now, standing in the muddy yard of Iron Hoof Farm—an alternative prison for financial delinquents—her terms were a distant memory. The air stank of hay and something far more primal, and the cold metal of a bridle bit pressed against her lips as a gruff warden adjusted the leather straps around her head.
'You think this is a game, Kane?' the warden growled, a wiry man with a sneer that could curdle milk. His name tag read ‘Hank,’ and he looked like he’d been chewing gravel for breakfast. 'You owe more than most folks earn in a decade. Out here, you’re no better than livestock. You’ll eat what we feed you, work how we tell you, and if you sass me, I’ll have you mucking stalls with your bare hands.'
Marney spat out a bitter laugh, the bit clinking against her teeth. 'Oh, please, Hank. I’ve dealt with bigger pricks than you in boardrooms. You think a little leather and some barnyard stench is gonna break me? Try harder.'
Hank’s eyes narrowed, but a smirk tugged at his cracked lips. 'Big talk for a woman who’s about to meet her first meal. You’ll be begging for mercy by sundown.' He yanked the reins attached to her bridle, pulling her toward a dimly lit barn. The sound of restless hooves echoed inside, and Marney’s stomach churned—not from fear, but from the sheer absurdity of it all. Horse cum. That’s what they’d told her. Her sustenance, her punishment, her ticket to clearing her debt. She’d laughed in the courtroom, thinking it was a sick joke. It wasn’t.
Inside the barn, the air was thick with musk, and Marney’s eyes adjusted to the sight of a massive stallion in a stall, its glossy black coat shimmering under the faint light. Its sheer size was intimidating, but Marney squared her shoulders, refusing to flinch. Hank shoved a bucket under her nose, the contents sloshing—a creamy, pungent liquid that made her gag on instinct.
'First lesson, princess,' Hank drawled, his voice dripping with mockery. 'You drink, or you starve. And trust me, you’ll need the energy for what’s coming.'
Marney glared at him, her hazel eyes blazing. 'You’re a real charmer, aren’t you? What’s next, you gonna serenade me with a banjo while I sip this gourmet slop?' She snatched the bucket, her hands trembling with rage, not fear. The smell was overpowering, a mix of salt and raw earth, and as she forced a swallow, the thick, warm liquid coated her throat. It was vile, humiliating, but she’d be damned if she let Hank see her crack.
'That’s it, darlin’,' Hank chuckled, leaning against the stall door. 'Get used to the taste. Tomorrow, you’re learning to extract it yourself. And if you’re real lucky, you’ll get a front-row seat to the husbandry barn.'
Marney wiped her mouth with the back of her hand, her voice low and venomous. 'Keep dreaming, cowboy. I’ll have your job before I let some beast mount me.'
But as Hank’s laughter echoed through the barn, Marney’s gaze drifted to the stallion, its powerful muscles rippling as it pawed the ground. A heat she refused to acknowledge stirred low in her belly, a mix of dread and something darker, something primal. Tomorrow, she’d be led to that bench in the husbandry barn, bent over and strapped down, hands and ankles cuffed, her body exposed and vulnerable. She could already imagine the weight of the stallion, the hot breath on her neck, the inevitable flood of cum dripping down her thighs, collected for her to consume. Three of them, they’d said. Three stallions to break her—or so they thought.
Marney clenched her jaw, her mind racing. She wasn’t some damsel to be tamed. If this farm thought it could strip her of her fight, it had another thing coming. But as the stallion’s dark eyes met hers, a shiver ran down her spine, and she knew the battle ahead would test every ounce of her resolve.
