Brawny Ballads: When Soyeon, the K-pop Vixen, Packed on the Pounds (of Muscle)

Chapter One: The First Shot

Soyeon stood in front of the floor-length mirror, scrutinizing her reflection. She had always been petite, delicate even, but the thought of her fragility grated on her nerves today. She wanted to be stronger, to have more control over her body and her image. Her fingers brushed against the cool glass as she traced the lines of her hips, the curve of her waist.

With a huff, she turned away from the mirror and strode towards her bedroom drawer. She knew what she was looking for, and her heart hammered in her chest as she revealed the small, unmarked vial nestled within. The liquid inside was clear, but she knew it was anything but.

The door to her penthouse suite opened, and Joon walked in without so much as a knock. He had been her manager since the beginning of her career, a constant presence in her life. More like a father figure than a boss, he had guided her through the treacherous waters of the entertainment industry with a steady hand and unwavering support.

But even he couldn't stop her from making this decision.

"Soyeon, what are you doing?" Joon asked, his voice laced with concern. His eyes flicked to the vial in her hand, and his brow furrowed.

Soyeon turned to face him, her eyes flashing. "I'm taking control, Joon. I'm tired of being weak."

Joon sighed, running a hand through his graying hair. "Soyeon, you don't know what you're getting yourself into. Steroids are dangerous."

She rolled her eyes, her patience wearing thin. "I'm not a child, Joon. I know what I'm doing."

Joon's eyes softened, and he took a step towards her. "Soyeon, please. You don't have to do this. There are other ways to gain strength and control."

Soyeon's lips curled into a smirk. "You don't understand, Joon. This is something I need to do for myself. I can't rely on others to give me what I want."

Joon's face fell, and he took a step back. "I'm just worried about you, Soyeon. I don't want you to hurt yourself."

She softened at his words, but her resolve remained unshaken. "I appreciate your concern, Joon. But I have to do this. I need to do this."

Joon sighed, his shoulders slumping in defeat. "Fine. But promise me you'll be careful."

Soyeon nodded, her determination unwavering. She uncapped the vial and pulled out a syringe, filling it with the clear liquid. Joon watched, his face a mix of worry and sadness.

Soyeon tied a rubber band around her upper arm, searching for a vein. She had never done this before, but she had watched enough videos to know what she was doing. Her heart raced as she prepared the syringe, the adrenaline coursing through her veins.

Joon couldn't stand it anymore. He grabbed the syringe from her hand, causing a drop of liquid to spill onto the carpet. "I'm sorry, Soyeon. I can't let you do this."

Soyeon's eyes narrowed, her anger flaring. "You can't stop me, Joon. I'm doing this with or without your help."

Joon hesitated, then handed the syringe back to her. "Fine. But promise me you'll be careful."

Soyeon nodded, then injected the steroids into her vein. She felt a rush of power, of control, as the liquid entered her bloodstream. Her muscles began to bulge, her body transforming before Joon's eyes.

Joon watched as Soyeon's frame filled out, her shoulders broadening and her waist narrowing. He couldn't help but feel a sense of pride, mixed with fear.

Soyeon smiled, her lips curling into a satisfied smirk. "See, Joon? I'm not weak anymore."

Joon nodded, his eyes shining with unshed tears. "I can see that, Soyeon. I just hope you know what you're doing."

Soyeon's smile faltered for a moment, but she quickly regained her composure. "I do, Joon. I do."

And with that, she turned back to the mirror, her newfound strength reflected in her eyes.
