Chapter 1: Midnight Tension
The old family house creaked under the weight of memories as Chris and Nate stumbled through the front door, the sharp tang of whiskey still lingering on their breaths. It was a rare weekend home for both brothers—Chris, the wiry 19-year-old college kid with a devil-may-care grin, and Nate, the chiseled 28-year-old with a smirk that could cut glass. They hadn’t been close in years, distance and time carving a rift between them, but tonight, the alcohol had softened the edges.
‘So, we’re really doing this? Sharing a bed like we’re kids again?’ Chris tossed his jacket onto a chair, his voice dripping with playful skepticism as he eyed the narrow double bed in their old shared room.
Nate chuckled, kicking off his boots with a thud. ‘What, you scared I’ll steal the covers, little bro? Or are you just worried you’ll snore and ruin my beauty sleep?’
‘Please, I’ve seen you sleep. You drool like a damn puppy,’ Chris shot back, his green eyes glinting with mischief as he peeled off his shirt, revealing a lean, toned torso that caught the dim light just right.
Nate’s gaze lingered a beat too long before he smirked again, shrugging off his own shirt to show a body just as sculpted, every muscle defined. ‘Keep talking, kid. I’ve got moves that’d shut you up quick.’
They both laughed, the tension of the night buzzing beneath their banter as they climbed under the worn cotton sheets. The bed was too small, their bare shoulders brushing as they settled in, the heat of their bodies impossible to ignore. Chris shifted, trying to play it cool, but the sudden tightness in his jeans betrayed him. He froze, hoping Nate wouldn’t notice.
‘Relax, man,’ Nate’s voice cut through the dark, low and teasing. ‘It’s just us. And, uh, I can see you’re... enjoying the company.’
Chris’s face burned, but before he could stammer out an excuse, Nate propped himself up on an elbow, the sheet slipping down to reveal the hard outline pressing against his own boxers. ‘Don’t sweat it, bro. Look, I’m right there with you. Happens to the best of us.’
A nervous laugh escaped Chris, his embarrassment melting into curiosity. ‘Yeah? Guess we’re both kinda fucked up then.’
‘Or just horny as hell,’ Nate quipped, his grin wicked. ‘C’mon, let’s not pretend. When’s the last time you even got any action?’
Chris hesitated, then shrugged, his voice quieter. ‘I’ve messed around, but... never really made out. Like, properly.’
Nate’s brow arched, a dangerous glint in his eye. ‘You’re shitting me. Never? Well, damn, little bro, that’s a crime. Want me to show you how it’s done?’
The air thickened, charged with a forbidden edge as Chris met his brother’s gaze, his pulse racing. ‘You’re serious?’
‘Dead serious,’ Nate murmured, leaning closer, his breath hot against Chris’s ear. ‘Just say the word.’
Chris swallowed hard, his body already betraying his hesitation with a shiver of want. ‘Fuck it. Show me.’
In an instant, Nate’s lips crashed against his, rough and hungry, a collision of whiskey and raw need. Chris groaned into the kiss, his hands instinctively gripping Nate’s shoulders as their bare chests pressed together, skin on skin, the heat between them igniting like wildfire. Their bodies moved on instinct, hips grinding in a slow, desperate rhythm, the friction of fabric against their aching hardness driving them both to the edge.
‘Shit, you’re a quick learner,’ Nate panted, breaking the kiss just long enough to smirk, his voice rough with lust. ‘Feel that? You’ve got me fucking throbbing.’
Chris’s laugh was breathless, his own desire dripping through every word. ‘Yeah, well, you’re not the only one. I’m so damn hard it hurts.’
Their eyes locked, the unspoken line they’d crossed only fueling the fire. They knew this was wrong, but the taboo of it—the fact that they were brothers—only made them hungrier. The night was far from over, and as their hands began to wander lower, the promise of something even more explosive hung heavy in the air.
