Buns in the Oven: A Goddesses' Tale of Pregnancy Cravings, Hilarious Husbands, and Unexpected Twins

Chapter One: Buns in the Oven

The heavenly palace of Brigitte, the goddess of candy and sweets, was a sight to behold. A dazzling array of colors and textures, it was a confectionery wonderland that would make even the most sugar-averse mortal swoon. Today, the palace was bustling with activity as Brigitte had invited some of her closest goddess friends for a gathering.

Seated around a table adorned with an assortment of candies and sweets, Brigitte, Aphrodite, Persephone, Hera, and Amphitrite chatted animatedly. The atmosphere was light and joyful, filled with laughter and shared stories.

Brigitte, with a mischievous grin, turned to Aphrodite. "I've been dying to ask you, my dear. How did you break the news to your ex-husband Hephaestus about your pregnancy?"

Aphrodite chuckled, her eyes gleaming with amusement. "I simply sent him a message with a picture of a bun in the oven and asked him what it meant."

The goddesses burst into laughter, imagining Hephaestus's confusion. Hera shared her own experience, saying, "I told Zeus by casually mentioning my pregnancy over dinner. He responded with a mix of surprise and excitement."

Amphitrite shared her unique way of telling Poseidon. "We were swimming in the ocean, and I couldn't contain my excitement. He was so thrilled that he created a massive wave of joy."

Persephone revealed her subtle approach. "I told Hades by leaving a pair of baby shoes at the entrance of the underworld. He was pleasantly shocked."

Brigitte asked Hera, "How did Zeus react when you told him you were expecting a boy?"

Hera replied, "He was over the moon and couldn't wait to have a son."

Aphrodite shared that Hephaestus was equally thrilled. "He was thrilled when I told him I was having a boy and a girl. He's already making plans for their future."

Amphitrite said, "Poseidon was ecstatic when I told him I was having a boy. He's been building a palace under the sea for our little prince."

Persephone revealed that Hades was surprisingly calm. "He was surprisingly calm when I told him I was having twins, a boy and a girl. He's been reading up on parenting books."

Brigitte shared, "Apollo was overjoyed when I told him I was having a boy. He's been composing songs to celebrate our little one."

The goddesses then started discussing their pregnancy cravings. Brigitte shared her craving for gummy bears, and Aphrodite shared her craving for chocolate.

Hera revealed, "I've been craving ambrosia, the food of the gods."

Amphitrite shared, "I'm craving seafood."

Persephone revealed, "I've been craving pomegranates, and the goddesses laughed, teasing her for her love of the underworld fruit.

The gathering was filled with sharp and witty banter, the goddesses' personalities shining through. Their pregnancies had brought them closer together, and they reveled in their shared experiences. The afternoon was a celebration of femininity, strength, and the power of creation.
