Cady's Divine Conception: When Goddesses get Infertally Insinuated And here's a short story snippet to go along with the title: Cady, the goddess of inventions and technology, stood before the golden gates of Olympus, her light brown hair cascading down her shoulders, her green eyes flashing with determination. She was pregnant. A hushed murmur rippled through the crowd of gods and goddesses gathered behind her. Aphrodite, the goddess of love, sneered, her perfectly sculpted lips curling in derision. Infertile Hephaestus must've finally gotten lucky, she taunted, her voice dripping with venom. Cady's gaze bore into Aphrodite, her eyes narrowing. Or perhaps it was your husband's brother who was the lucky one, she retorted, a playful smirk tugging at the corners of her mouth. Aphrodite's face turned a deep shade of red, her eyes blazing with fury. How dare you! she shrieked, her voice echoing through the halls of Olympus. Cady chuckled, her voice low and sultry. Oh, Aphrodite, lighten up. It's just a little playful banter. She turned to the crowd, her voice booming. And as for the father of my child, well, let's just say it's a secret I'll take to my grave. She winked, her eyes twinkling with mischief. The crowd erupted in laughter, the sound echoing through the halls of Olympus. Cady stood tall, her head held high, her belly swelling with new life. She was a goddess, a mother, and a force to be reckoned with.

Chapter One: The Goddess' Secret

The Grand Hall of Olympus was alive with the sound of chatter and laughter as the gods and goddesses mingled and socialized. But amidst the merriment, Cady, the goddess of inventions and technology, couldn't help but feel a pang of hurt as she overheard some of the other deities making jokes at her expense.

"Did you hear? Cady and Hephaestus were seen together the other night," one of the gods said, snickering. "I guess even a god of fire and metalworking can't make a woman like Cady hot."

Cady's face fell as she heard the cruel words. She remembered the time when Hephaestus was humiliated by Aphrodite and Ares, and how she had stood up for him. She had always thought of him as a good man, despite his physical limitations.

But just as she was about to slip away unnoticed, she felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned to see Hephaestus, looking at her with concern.

"Cady, are you okay?" he asked.

She forced a smile. "Yes, I'm fine."

"You don't look fine," he said, his brow furrowed. "What's wrong?"

Cady hesitated for a moment before admitting, "I heard what they were saying about me. And about us."

Hephaestus's expression darkened. "I'm sorry. I know how cruel they can be."

Cady shook her head. "It's not just that. I overheard them talking about how you're infertile. And I know that's not true."

Hephaestus looked at her with surprise. "How do you know that?"

Cady took a deep breath before revealing, "Because I'm pregnant. And you're the father."

Hephaestus stared at her in shock. "What? How is that possible?"

Cady smiled softly. "After you were humiliated, I was there for you. And we had a moment of passion. And well, I guess that was all it took."

Hephaestus was still in shock, but a mixture of joy and confusion was etched on his face. "But, Cady, I don't know the first thing about taking care of a child."

Cady placed a hand on his arm. "I know that. But I also know that you're a good man, Hephaestus. And I want you to be there for me. And for our child."

Hephaestus nodded, his expression serious. "I will. I'll be there for both of you."

Cady felt a wave of relief wash over her. "Thank you. I'm glad you're the father. And I know our child will be smart and strong, just like you."

Hephaestus laughed. "Well, I hope they inherit your wit and intelligence, too."

Cady grinned. "I'm sure they will. But for now, let's keep this a secret. I'm not ready for the rest of Olympus to know yet."

Hephaestus nodded in agreement. "Of course. Your secret is safe with me."

Cady and Hephaestus left the Grand Hall, leaving the other gods and goddesses in shock. They walked in silence for a moment before Cady turned to Hephaestus and said playfully, "At least our child will be smart and strong, unlike some of the other gods."

Hephaestus laughed. "Yes, I'm sure they will be."

He took Cady's hand and they continued to walk, ready to face whatever challenges came their way.

As they walked, Cady couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and nervousness about the future. She knew that raising a child in Olympus would be no easy feat, but with Hephaestus by her side, she knew they could do it.

"Cady?" Hephaestus asked, breaking the silence.

"Yes?"

"I just want to say thank you. For giving me this chance. I won't let you down."

Cady smiled. "I know you won't. And I'm grateful to have you by my side."

As they continued their walk, Cady couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment. She was carrying a child, and the father was none other than Hephaestus, the kind and strong god of fire and metalworking. She couldn't wait to see what the future held for them.
