Camp Half-Blood's Scandalous Conception: When Aphrodite Meets Hephaestus, Sparks (and a Bump) Fly

Chapter One: The Big Reveal

The Aphrodite cabin was filled with the sound of laughter and chatter as Selina sat in front of her vanity, meticulously braiding her long, black hair. She couldn't help but smile as she listened to her friends gossip and giggle, feeling grateful for the sense of community she had found here at Camp Half-Blood.

But her contentment was short-lived as she heard the sound of the cabin door opening, followed by the heavy footsteps of her boyfriend, Charles. Selina turned to see him walking towards her, a miniature statue of herself clutched in his hand.

"Charles, you didn't have to get me anything," Selina said with a giggle, taking the statue from him. She playfully rolled her eyes, teasing, "You really are such a metalhead, aren't you?"

Charles chuckled, running a hand through his shaggy brown hair. "Only for you, Selina," he replied, his hazel eyes sparkling with affection.

Selina's smile faltered as she looked up at Charles, her heart pounding in her chest. She had something important to tell him, something that would change their lives forever. She took a deep breath, mustering up the courage to speak.

"Charles, there's something I need to tell you," Selina said, her voice barely above a whisper. She saw the concern etched on Charles's face, but she quickly reassured him. "It's nothing bad, I promise."

Charles's shoulders visibly relaxed, and he took Selina's hand in his own. "What is it, then?" he asked, his voice filled with curiosity.

Selina hesitated for a moment, gathering her thoughts. "I'm pregnant," she blurted out, her heart racing. She watched as Charles's eyes widened in shock, his grip on her hand tightening.

"Are you sure?" he asked, his voice shaking slightly. Selina nodded, pulling out a stack of pregnancy tests from her bag.

"I took multiple tests, Charles. I'm positive," she said, her voice steady and confident.

Charles's face broke out into a wide grin, and he pulled Selina into a tight hug. "That's amazing, Selina," he whispered in her ear, his voice filled with joy. "I'm so happy."

Selina smiled, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. But she knew that they had a long road ahead of them. "I'm glad you're happy, Charles," she said, pulling away from him. "But we need to figure out what to do next."

Charles nodded, his expression serious. "We should tell our friends and family," he said, his voice firm. Selina agreed, but she couldn't shake off the feeling of worry that crept up in her stomach.

"I'm just worried about how people will react," she admitted, her voice quiet. Charles took her hand in his again, giving it a reassuring squeeze.

"We'll face whatever comes our way together, Selina," he said, his voice filled with determination. "I promise."

Selina felt her heart swell with love for Charles, and she stood up, determined to tell the rest of the Aphrodite cabin about their pregnancy. She pulled Charles aside, and with a deep breath, she announced to the cabin that she was pregnant.

The cabin fell silent, and Selina could feel every eye on her. But she held her head high, refusing to let her nerves get the best of her. And then, a son of Demeter stood up, congratulating Selina and offering his support.

The rest of the cabin followed suit, offering their congratulations and well-wishes. Selina felt a sense of relief and happiness wash over her, knowing that she had the support of her friends and family.

As the night went on, Selina and Charles sat by the campfire, holding hands and discussing names for their baby. Selina wanted something unique, while Charles wanted something traditional. They laughed and joked, the tension of the big reveal fading away.

As the night wore on, Selina looked up at the stars, feeling a sense of peace and contentment. She leaned her head on Charles's shoulder, feeling grateful for the love and support he had given her.

"I love you, Charles," she whispered, her voice filled with emotion. Charles looked down at her, his eyes filled with love.

"I love you too, Selina," he replied, his voice soft.

And with that, Selina and Charles fell asleep by the campfire, the sound of crickets and laughter in the background, their future bright and full of possibilities.
