Candy, Thunder, Waves, and Shadows: A Goddess Get-Together of Unmedicated Bravery and Hilarious Husbands

Chapter One: Goddesses' Gathering

The entrance to Brigitte's extravagant candy garden was a grandiose archway, shaped from shimmering rock candy and adorned with garlands of licorice vines. As the goddesses arrived one by one, they were greeted by Brigitte with playful insults and warm hugs, the scent of sugary paradise enveloping them.

Hera, the great goddess of marriage and childbirth, stepped through the archway first, her nose immediately twitching at the delicious scent. "Brigitte, my dear," she called out, "what is that delightful aroma? I must say, it's a refreshing change from the smell of burning sacrifices."

Brigitte, the goddess of hearth and home, grinned mischievously. "Of course, it's a candy garden, dear. What did you expect, the smell of rain?" She winked, pulling Hera into a tight embrace.

Amphitrite, the goddess of the sea, arrived next, her aqua gown shimmering like the ocean itself. Brigitte exclaimed, "Finally! The sea goddess graces us with her presence. I was starting to think the tide had permanently swallowed you."

Amphitrite chuckled, her laughter sounding like waves crashing on the shore. "I wouldn't miss this gathering for anything, not even a tempest at sea."

The goddesses settled down on plush cushions, surrounded by colorful flowers and sparkling candy sculptures. Brigitte asked about their labors, each sharing their unique experiences with sharp wit and raw honesty.

Hera, with a roll of her eyes, mentioned how Zeus was more interested in his thunderbolts than her contractions. "I swear, if he had one more orgasm during a storm, I would've turned him into a lightning rod."

Amphitrite chuckled, saying Poseidon was more concerned about the state of his trident than her well-being. "If he had paid as much attention to me as he does to his precious seas, I would've had an army of mermaids assisting in my delivery."

Persphone added that Hades was as silent as the underworld during her labor, but at least he didn't try to 'redecorate' the birthing room. "I mean, really. Necropolis-chic is not a suitable theme for a baby's first days."

The goddesses shared a laugh, relieved to have support and understanding from one another. They moved on to discussing their husbands' reactions when they held their newborns for the first time.

Hera's lips quirked into a smirk as she recalled Jason's wide-eyed expression, looking both terrified and fascinated. "I could see the gears turning in his head. 'How do I hold this tiny human without breaking it?'"

Amphitrite's eyes shone with pride as she shared Perseus's awe-struck face, whispering, "He's just like his father. Strong, yet gentle. I couldn't have asked for a better father for my child."

Persphone giggled, remembering Nico and Bianca's ghostly touch, which had Hades jumping back in surprise. "I've never seen him so startled. It was as if he had forgotten I was married to the Lord of the Dead."

Brigitte's heart swelled as she remembered Solace's peaceful slumber in her arms, his tiny fingers curled around hers. "There is no feeling quite like holding your child for the first time. It's as if the universe has handed you a piece of itself, and said, 'Here, nurture this. Make it grow.'"

They shared a moment of silence, cherishing the memory of their first holds. Brigitte broke the silence, asking how they felt when they finally held their babies. Hera, Amphitrite, and Persphone shared their feelings of love, relief, and empowerment.

Hera spoke first, her voice filled with warmth. "I felt like a warrior who had just won the greatest battle. I had brought life into the world, and no thunderbolt could ever compare to that power."

Amphitrite nodded in agreement. "I felt the ocean's strength flowing through me, and I knew my child would be a force to be reckoned with."

Persphone's gaze was soft as she added, "I felt the embrace of the underworld, and I knew my child would be a beacon of light in even the darkest of places."

Brigitte smiled, her eyes glistening with tears. "And I felt the warmth of the hearth, and I knew my child would be loved, no matter what trials he would face."

As the goddesses shared their stories, the sweet aroma of the candy garden seemed to envelop them in a blanket of love and understanding. For in that moment, they were not just goddesses - they were women, sharing the most intimate and powerful experience of their lives.
