The palace of Brigitte, the goddess of candy and all things sweet, was a marvel to behold. A confectionery wonderland that floated amongst the clouds, it was a riot of colors and shapes, with candy-making machines that hummed and whirred, producing treats of every size and description.
As the four goddesses entered the palace, they were greeted with a blast of warm, sugary air, and they giggled and made playful insults about each other's husbands.
"I can't believe Zeus thought you just ate too many ambrosia cookies," Hera said to Brigitte, rolling her eyes.
"Well, at least Apollo was there to play his lyre and soothe me during labor," Brigitte replied, a wicked glint in her eye.
"Poseidon was excited but also terrified of the ocean-themed labor pains," Amphitrite shared, shaking her head. "He kept asking if I needed a life preserver."
"Hades was surprisingly gentle during my labor," Pershephone revealed, still in disbelief. "But I still can't believe I gave birth to a boy and a girl."
The goddesses sat down in a circle, each one trying to outdo the others with exaggerated details of their labors. They nodded in agreement, praising each other for their strength and determination.
As the conversation moved on to their husbands' reactions when they first held their babies, the goddesses couldn't help but laugh and share their stories.
Hera imitated Zeus's awkward grip on Jason and how he asked if he needed to burp him. Amphitrite laughed and shared how Poseidon cried when he held Perseus, saying he was the most beautiful creature he's ever seen.
Pershephone shared how Hades was surprisingly gentle with Nico and Bianca, whispering secrets to them that only the dead know. Brigitte talked about how Apollo was in awe of Solace's curly blonde hair and blue eyes, saying he's a mini version of himself.
The goddesses sighed in contentment, reminiscing about the moment they first held their babies. They ended the gathering with a toast to their motherhood and a promise to meet again soon.
As they left the palace, each goddess felt a renewed sense of connection and sisterhood, knowing that they were all in this journey of motherhood together. And as they returned to their own realms, they carried with them the sweet memories of their time with Brigitte, the goddess of candy and all things sweet.
