Candy, Wine, and Sea Spray: A Goddess Get-Together on Postpartum Life and Adorable Offspring

Chapter One: Goddesses Gather

The garden of Brigitte, the goddess of fertility and midwifery, was a sight to behold. A riot of colors greeted the eye, with vibrant flowers of every hue blooming in lush abundance. The sweet scent of candies and sugary treats wafted through the air, a treat for the senses that never failed to delight.

Brigitte herself was a vision of loveliness, her light pink hair catching the sunlight as she moved gracefully among her guests. Her dark eyes sparkled with mischief as she welcomed Hera, Amphitrite, and Persephone with warm hugs and playful insults.

"Hera, you're looking as regal as ever," Brigitte said, eyeing the goddess of marriage and childbirth with a sly grin. "Although, I must say, your chariot could use a good cleaning. I swear, I saw a bolt of lightning stuck to the underside."

Hera laughed, her blue eyes twinkling. "Brigitte, you always know how to make me laugh. And here I thought you'd be too busy with your garden to bother with us mortals."

Brigitte waved a hand dismissively. "Nonsense. You know I always have time for my dear friends. Especially when they bring such adorable company." She gestured to Hera's son, Jason, a blonde-haired and blue-eyed boy who looked just like his father, Zeus.

Hera beamed with pride as she introduced him. "Jason, this is Brigitte, the goddess of fertility and midwifery. She's the one who helped me bring you into the world."

Jason looked up at Brigitte with wide eyes. "You're a goddess?"

Brigitte nodded. "Indeed I am. And you, my dear, are quite the charmer. I can already tell you're going to be a heartbreaker."

Hera rolled her eyes. "Don't encourage him, Brigitte. He's already enough of a handful as it is."

Amphitrite, the goddess of the sea, laughed as she entered the garden, her raven black hair catching the light. She was followed by her son, Perseus, a striking boy with green eyes and dark hair.

"Brigitte, you always know how to throw a party," Amphitrite said, her voice rich and musical. "I only wish Poseidon could be here to enjoy it with us."

Brigitte smiled. "I'm sure he's busy with his duties as lord of the sea. But I'm glad you could make it, Amphitrite. And Perseus, you're looking more and more like your father every day."

Perseus grinned, his teeth bright white. "I'll take that as a compliment, Brigitte. Although, I must say, I'd rather be known for my own accomplishments than for looking like my dad."

Brigitte chuckled. "I can understand that, Perseus. But trust me, you'll grow into your own skin soon enough. And you, Amphitrite, how is Poseidon treating you these days?"

Amphitrite sighed. "He's as protective as ever. Sometimes I feel like I'm raising Perseus and him at the same time. But I wouldn't have it any other way."

Persephone, the goddess of the underworld, arrived last, her pale skin and black hair a stark contrast to her children's. She was followed by her twins, Bianca and Nico, who looked just like their mother.

"Persephone, you're looking well," Brigitte said, her voice warm and welcoming. "And your twins are just adorable. Bianca, Nico, come say hello to Brigitte."

The twins obediently approached Brigitte, their eyes wide with curiosity. "Hello, Brigitte," Bianca said, her voice soft and sweet.

Nico nodded. "Hi."

Brigitte smiled at them. "It's so nice to meet you both. I've heard so much about you from your mother."

Persephone smiled. "I'm sure they're driving you crazy already, Brigitte. They're a handful, I'll give them that."

Brigitte chuckled. "Oh, I'm used to it. And besides, I have just the thing to soothe their aches and pains." She gestured to a nearby table, laden with candies of every shape and size.

The goddesses exclaimed in delight, their eyes lighting up at the sight. They helped themselves to the sweets, their laughter ringing through the garden.

As they ate, Brigitte shared a story about how Apollo accidentally turned Solace's milk into honey, much to the amusement of the other goddesses. Hera revealed that Zeus had been too busy with his duties to help with Jason, leading to a playful argument about whose husband was the better parent.

Amphitrite mentioned that Poseidon was overly protective of Perseus, often treating him like a miniature version of himself. Persephone shared her struggles with Hades, as he was both too strict and too lenient with Bianca and Nico.

The goddesses commiserated over their postpartum experiences, laughing and joking about their various ailments. Brigitte offered a variety of candies to soothe their aches and pains, leading to a sugar high for the group.

As the babies started to fuss, the goddesses discussed their sleep schedules and various methods to get them to sleep through the night. They shared their own methods, from lullabies to rocking, and even a few spells.

In the end, they came to the conclusion that each baby was unique and required their own special routine. The goddesses promised to meet again soon to share more stories and advice, their laughter echoing through the garden as they parted ways.
