The door slammed open, and in walked Alexei, a 38-year-old Captain of the Military Police. He was a towering figure, at least a head taller than the rest of the staff. He had a stern and serious expression on his face, and his uniform was impeccably tailored to his broad shoulders and muscular frame.
Alexei's eyes scanned the room, taking in the way the other teachers looked at Eugene. He saw the pity and contempt in their expressions, and his face darkened. He strode over to Eugene, his boots clicking against the linoleum floor.
"I've seen the way they treat you, little bird," Alexei said in a low voice, leaning down so that only Eugene could hear him. "It's not right. You're under my protection now."
Eugene's eyes widened in surprise, and he stammered a thank you, but Alexei had already moved on. He took a seat next to Eugene, his powerful presence causing the other teachers to fall silent.
"So, tell me about yourself, little bird," Alexei said, his voice warm and inviting. "What brings you to this school?"
Eugene was taken aback by the Captain's interest in him. He stuttered and stammered, trying to find the right words. "I-I've always loved teaching," he finally said. "I wanted to make a difference in the lives of my students."
Alexei nodded, his eyes never leaving Eugene's face. "That's admirable," he said. "What subjects do you teach?"
"I teach English and History," Eugene replied, feeling more at ease with each passing moment.
"Ah, a man of culture and intellect," Alexei said, a hint of a smile playing at the corners of his lips. "I respect that."
The other teachers tried to join in the conversation, but Alexei shut them down with a cold glare. "He's mine," he said possessively, his arm resting protectively on the back of Eugene's chair.
Eugene felt a flutter of excitement in his chest. He had never felt so seen or desired before. He couldn't believe the way the Captain was making him feel.
As they walked down the hallway after lunch, Alexei put a protective arm around Eugene's shoulders. "Don't worry, little bird," he said. "I'll always be there for you."
Eugene looked up at Alexei, his heart racing. He couldn't believe the way the Captain was making him feel.
"You're cute when you're flustered, little bird," Alexei said, chuckling.
Eugene rolled his eyes, trying to play it cool. "I'm not a bird, Captain," he said.
Alexei grinned, his eyes twinkling with mischief. "Oh, but you are, little bird," he said. "And I can't wait to see you soar."
The scene ends with Alexei and Eugene sharing a laugh, the beginning of a strong and controlling relationship between the two men.
