Case of Carnal Heat

Case of Carnal Heat

Chapter 1: Undercover Desires

The dim light of the precinct office cast long shadows across the room, the hum of late-night New York City filtering through the cracked window. Detective Amanda Rollins lounged on the worn leather couch in Captain Donald Cragen’s office, her sharp eyes glinting with a mix of mischief and authority. Her legs were crossed, one boot tapping rhythmically against the armrest, her fitted leather jacket slung over the back of the couch. She was all business—on the surface—but the smirk playing on her lips told a different story.

Captain Cragen stood by his desk, his broad shoulders tense as he shuffled through case files, his tie loosened and shirt sleeves rolled up. The man was a fortress of control, but Amanda knew how to crack through. She’d seen the way his eyes lingered on her when he thought she wasn’t looking. And tonight, with the precinct nearly empty and the weight of their latest case pressing down, she was ready to push boundaries.

“Cragen, you gonna keep pretending those files are more interesting than me, or are we gonna talk strategy?” Amanda’s voice was a low, teasing drawl, cutting through the silence like a blade. She uncrossed her legs, letting her boots hit the floor with a deliberate thud.

Donald glanced over, his jaw tightening, but a flicker of amusement danced in his gray eyes. “Rollins, if I didn’t know better, I’d say you’re trying to distract me. We’ve got a serial predator on the loose, and I’m not in the mood for games.”

“Oh, I’m all about games, Captain,” she shot back, sitting up and leaning forward, her elbows on her knees. Her gaze was piercing, predatory. “But I play to win. So, why don’t you come over here and tell me how you’re gonna handle this case? Or are you too scared to get close?”

He snorted, shaking his head, but there was a heat in his expression now, a challenge accepted. “Scared? Of you? Rollins, I’ve been running this squad longer than you’ve been carrying a badge. I don’t scare easy.”

“Then prove it,” she said, her voice dropping an octave, dripping with suggestion. She patted the couch beside her, her smirk widening. “Sit. Let’s talk… real close.”

Donald hesitated for a split second, then tossed the file onto his desk with a sigh. He crossed the room in three long strides, but instead of sitting beside her, he stood over her, his presence commanding. “You’re trouble, Amanda. Always have been.”

“And you love it,” she fired back, tilting her head to meet his gaze. “Now, are we gonna keep dancing around this, or are you gonna let me take the lead for once?”

Before he could respond, a sharp knock at the door jolted them both. “Captain Cragen?” Olivia Benson’s voice came through, steady and professional. “I’ve got the prelim report on the latest victim. Can we go over it?”

Donald’s eyes locked with Amanda’s, a silent dare passing between them. She arched a brow, her lips curling into a wicked grin. “Go on, Cap. Answer her. I’m not going anywhere.”

He cleared his throat, stepping back slightly but not breaking eye contact with Amanda. “Yeah, Liv, come in. Just… give me a second.”

Amanda chuckled under her breath, leaning back on the couch and spreading her arms along the backrest. “Better hurry, Donald. Wouldn’t want Olivia catching us in a… compromising position.”

“Keep pushing, Rollins,” he muttered, his voice low and rough, “and you’ll see just how compromising I can get.”

The door creaked open, and Olivia stepped in, clipboard in hand, oblivious to the charged atmosphere. “Sorry to interrupt, but we’ve got a lead on the suspect’s last known location. I think we should—”

As Olivia spoke, Amanda’s gaze never left Donald. She shifted slightly, her posture inviting, her eyes promising trouble. And then, in a move that was pure audacity, she mouthed the words, “Lose the clothes.”

Donald’s breath hitched, his control fraying at the edges. He turned to Olivia, forcing his focus. “Right, let’s hear it. What’ve you got?”

But Amanda wasn’t done. As Olivia detailed the report, Amanda stood, slow and deliberate, shedding her jacket to reveal the tight black tank underneath. She moved behind Donald, her presence a silent taunt, and whispered just loud enough for him to hear, “Bet I can make you forget every damn word she’s saying.”

His hands clenched at his sides, but he didn’t turn. Not yet. Olivia droned on, unaware of the storm brewing. Amanda stepped closer, her breath hot against his ear. “Come on, Captain. Let’s see how hard you can play when the stakes are high.”

The tension snapped like a taut wire. Donald turned abruptly, his voice a growl as he cut Olivia off mid-sentence. “Liv, give us five. I need to… clarify something with Rollins.”

Olivia blinked, sensing the undercurrent but not questioning it. “Sure, I’ll be outside.” The door clicked shut behind her.

The moment they were alone, Donald rounded on Amanda, his eyes blazing. “You’ve got some nerve, Rollins.”

“And you’ve got too many clothes on,” she retorted, stepping into his space, her hands already tugging at his shirt. “Let’s fix that. Now.”

In a blur of motion, shirts hit the floor, and Donald found himself bare, vulnerable under her commanding gaze. Amanda pushed him down onto the couch, straddling him with a predatory grin. “You’re gonna bounce for me, Captain. Right here, right now. And we’re gonna talk cases while I make you lose your damn mind.”

His breath came in sharp pants as she guided him, her hands firm on his hips. “Jesus, Amanda, you’re—”

“Unstoppable,” she finished, her voice a purr as she leaned down, her lips brushing his ear. “Now move that ass for me. Let’s see how long you can keep talking shop while I’ve got you sweating and hard.”

The room filled with the sound of their rhythm, his gasps mixing with her sharp commands, the air thick with heat. Outside, the precinct buzzed faintly, but in here, it was just them—raw, electric, and on the edge of something explosive. Her fingers dug into his skin, urging him on, her own breath hitching as she felt him respond, his body dripping with need under her control.

“Tell me about the case, Donald,” she taunted, her voice wicked as she felt him tremble beneath her. “Or are you too horny to think straight with my pussy so close?”

He groaned, his hands gripping the couch, his mind a haze of lust and duty. “You’re gonna be the death of me, Rollins.”

“Good,” she shot back, her eyes glinting with triumph. “Now let’s see if you can keep up before you cum.”

The heat built, their bodies slick and desperate, the promise of release hanging heavy in the air as they teetered on the brink of something wild and untamed.
