Claimed by Kronos: Isabela's Temporal Temptations

Chapter One: The Hourglass Unveiled

The Camp Half-Blood amphitheater was brimming with activity as the late afternoon sun cast long shadows over the motley group of demigods gathered there. Percy Jackson, the camp's resident hero, sat next to Isabela, a confident 12-year-old Colombian girl with tan skin and dark brown hair. He was hunched over a history problem, his brow furrowed in concentration.

"I can't believe I can't remember this date," Percy grumbled, tapping his pencil against the parchment. "It's driving me crazy."

Isabela glanced at the problem, then at Percy, a smirk playing on her lips. "The Battle of Chaos, May 16, 319 BC. You're welcome."

Percy looked at her, surprised. "How did you know that?"

Isabela shrugged, her eyes sparkling. "I have an excellent memory. And history is kind of my thing."

Percy grinned, shaking his head. "Maybe you are a child of Athena. You've certainly got the wisdom part down."

Isabela laughed, then suddenly gasped as a symbol appeared above her head. It was an hourglass, glowing with a soft golden light. The campers, who had been milling about, turned to stare.

"Well, would you look at that," Leo, the camp's resident inventor, called out. "Our little Colombian firecracker just got claimed."

Isabela felt a mix of excitement and apprehension as the campers gathered around her. Leo's playful insult rolled off her back; she was used to handling boys like him.

Annabeth, the daughter of Athena, stepped forward, her eyes warm. "I remember when I was claimed. It's a lot to take in, but you'll get used to it."

Percy expressed his support and admiration for Isabela's new status. "You're going to be amazing, Isabela. I can feel it."

Nico, the son of Hades, revealed his skepticism about the god of time, Kronos. "I don't trust Kronos. He's the god of time, sure, but he's also the Titan who tried to overthrow the gods."

Isabela defended her godly parent, stating that she's proud to be his daughter. "I may not know much about Kronos yet, but I know he's my father. And I'm proud of that."

Will, the son of Apollo, playfully teased Isabela about her future as a musician, given that Kronos has no musical associations. "Well, Isabela, I guess you'll have to find a new hobby. Kronos isn't exactly known for his musical talents."

Isabela rolled her eyes, but her lips twitched in amusement. "I think I'll manage, Will. Thanks for the concern."

Reyna, the former praetor of the Roman camp, advised Isabela on her responsibilities as a demigod. "Being claimed means you have a purpose, Isabela. Embrace it, and use it to help others."

Frank, the son of Mars, shared his perspective as a child of a war god, and how it relates to Isabela's situation. "I didn't think I had much in common with Mars at first. But over time, I've learned that his strength and courage are a part of me. Maybe it's the same for you and Kronos."

As the conversation continued, the group heard a booming voice, "You have been claimed by Kronos, god of time. All hail Isabela Garcia, daughter of Kronos!"

Isabela stood tall, her eyes shining with pride and determination. She was a child of Kronos, god of time. And she was ready to face whatever that meant.
