The soundstage was buzzing with anticipation as the host, Marat Basarov, took to the stage. “Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Battle of the Psychics! Tonight, we will witness the incredible powers of some of the most talented psychics in the world. And I am honored to introduce our esteemed judges: renowned psychic and author, Olga Romanova; world-famous illusionist, Maxim Kuznetsov; and former professional athlete and current skeptic, Ivan Petrov.”
The audience cheered as the judges waved and took their seats. Marat continued, “And now, let me introduce our first contestant: the stunning and powerful, Sasha Bruyla!”
The crowd erupted in applause as Sasha entered the stage, confident and poised. She smiled and waved at the audience before taking her place in front of the heavy object she was tasked to move.
Just as the round was about to begin, Svetlana Nazarova tried to make her entrance with her cup and buttered bread. “Excuse me, madam,” one of the security guards said, stopping her. “No food or drink is allowed on stage.”
Svetlana scoffed. “You oafs and blockheads! Can’t you see I need my special bread to enhance my powers? Fine, I’ll just have to use my mind alone.” She reluctantly handed over her bread and took her place on stage.
Danna Mikhнюk entered next, smiling at Sasha. “Well, well, look who we have here. The little girl who thinks she can take on the big dogs. I’ll show you what a real psychic can do.”
Sasha rolled her eyes. “Oh please, Danna. You’re all talk and no action. I’ll show you who the real little girl is.”
Julia Chunihina entered last, her eyes fixed on Sasha. She smirked. “Looks like we have a new amateur on the block. I’ll show you how it’s done, little girl.”
The first round of the competition began. The contestants were tasked to use their powers to move the heavy object across the stage. Sasha used her powers with ease, impressing the judges.
Svetlana tried to use her “special” bread to move the object, but failed miserably. She threw a tantrum, calling the judges “incompetent” and “blind.”
Danna used her powers to move the object, but not as quickly as Sasha. She glared at Julia, who had yet to attempt the task.
Julia finally moved the object with a flick of her wrist, smirking at Sasha. The judges deliberated and declared Sasha the winner of the first round.
Svetlana stormed off the stage, still muttering insults. Danna congratulated Sasha, but warned her to watch out for Julia.
Sasha thanked Danna, but dismissed Julia as a threat. “She’s just a sore loser. I’m not worried about her.”
The host announced the next round: a game of “Squid Game” with a twist. The audience gasped in excitement. Sasha couldn’t wait to see what the psychics had in store for her next.
