Clash of Wings: A Heavenly Devil's Drawing Room Seduction

Chapter One: Uneasy Allies

Yarth limped toward the abandoned castle, her breath heavy and labored. She clutched her side, where a wound from her recent battle smoldered and ached. Her blue eyes blazed with a mix of anger and curiosity as she sensed Maria's presence in the castle's shadows.

Maria watched Yarth from the shadows, her brow furrowed with concern. She hesitated to engage the devil, but her sense of justice wouldn't let her leave Yarth wounded and vulnerable. She stepped forward, her brown wings rustling. "You're injured," she said, her voice soft but firm. "I can't leave you like this."

Yarth snorted, her black horns gleaming in the moonlight. "I don't need your help, angel. I can take care of myself."

Maria raised an eyebrow, her green eyes twinkling with amusement. "Really? Because it looks like you're barely standing."

Yarth gritted her teeth, her pale straw hair falling in front of her face. "Fine," she muttered. "But don't think this means we're friends."

Maria smiled, her brown curly hair framing her face. "Of course not, Yarth. We're allies... for now."

As Maria tended to Yarth's wound, they exchanged playful insults and barbed comments, their animosity slowly giving way to grudging respect. Yarth told Maria about the mark on her back, a symbol of her strength and resilience, while Maria listened intently, her admiration for Yarth growing.

"You're welcome, Yarth," Maria said as she finished bandaging the wound. "Maybe we're not so different after all."

Yarth grunted, her black horns gleaming. "Don't push your luck, angel. But... I'm glad we met."

As dawn approached, Yarth and Maria stood on the castle's balcony, watching the sun rise over the soul sands. Yarth glanced at Maria, her blue eyes thoughtful. "Thank you, Maria," she said, her voice rough but sincere. "For helping me."

Maria smiled, her green eyes warm. "You're welcome, Yarth. Who knows, maybe one day we'll be more than just uneasy allies."

Yarth snorted, but couldn't help the small smile that tugged at the corners of her mouth. "Don't get ahead of yourself, angel. But... I'm looking forward to seeing what the future holds for us."
