Toothy, Basket, and Skittle strolled into Invasion Peninsula High, their laughter echoing through the halls. "Nice shoes, Skittle," Toothy teased, gesturing to Skittle's bright pink sneakers.
Skittle rolled her eyes. "Don't start, Toothy."
As they entered their first class, they noticed two new students being introduced by iPad, the school's eccentric teacher. "This is Jelly Bean and Popsicle," iPad announced.
Toothy immediately took a disliking to Jelly Bean, but Skittle was intrigued. "Nice to meet you," Skittle said, extending a hand.
During roll call, it was revealed that Cup, Toothy's crush, was missing. Lego, another student, began to cry. iPad didn't seem to care, but Lego's outburst caused a commotion in the classroom.
Toothy took charge. "We need to organize a search party for Cup," she declared.
Jelly Bean and Popsicle offered to help, but Toothy was skeptical. "I don't know about you two," she said, shooting a glare at Jelly Bean.
Skittle defended the new students. "Come on, Toothy. Let's give them a chance."
The students split up into teams to search for Cup. Toothy, Basket, and Skittle were on one team, while Jelly Bean and Popsicle were on another. As they searched, they encountered various obstacles and challenges.
Meanwhile, it was revealed that Jelly Bean and a boy named Newspaper had kidnapped Cup and given him to Mace, an evil villain who had hired Jelly Bean to spy on the students.
Back at the school, the search parties returned empty-handed. Lego was still crying, and iPad announced that there would be a challenge to find Cup. The first team to find him would win immunity.
As the students prepared for the challenge, Dollar talked to Jelly Bean. He was suspicious of her and asked her why she went to the volcano instead of the river to get water. Jelly Bean brushed him off, but Dollar was not convinced.
The challenge began, and the students started searching for Cup. Slingshot was lazy and didn't participate, but later he decided to join the search.
As the students searched, they started to suspect that Jelly Bean may be involved in Cup's disappearance. They confronted her, but she denied any involvement.
Mace and Jelly Bean were watching the students' progress. Mace begged Jelly Bean to shoot the students with a gun he had given her, but Jelly Bean refused. She realized that this was not the right thing to do and started to have doubts about her mission.
As the students continued to search, they were trapped in a cage by Mace. Jelly Bean held the gun, but she couldn't bring herself to shoot them. Skittle begged her to reconsider, and Jelly Bean finally refused to shoot.
Mace's plan failed, and Cup was freed. The students were overjoyed, and they celebrated their victory. However, they were still suspicious of Jelly Bean and decided to keep an eye on her.
Back at the school, iPad announced the voting results. Ethan had the most dislikes, but Lamp had the most dislikes in total. However, before being eliminated, Lamp called the police on Ethan, who was charged with murder and thievery.
The chapter ended with the students reflecting on the day's events. They realized that even the most loyal of friends could turn on you, and they vowed to be more vigilant in the future.
Toothy and Skittle had a heart-to-heart, and Skittle confided in Toothy that she had a crush on her. Toothy was taken aback but didn't reject Skittle outright.
The stage was set for further drama and tension in the coming chapters.
"I can't believe Jelly Bean was involved in all of this," Skittle said, shaking her head.
Toothy nodded. "I never trusted her from the start. But I didn't think she was capable of something like this."
Skittle looked at Toothy, her eyes shining. "Can I tell you something, Toothy?"
Toothy raised an eyebrow. "Sure, Skittle. What's up?"
Skittle took a deep breath. "I have a crush on you, Toothy."
Toothy was taken aback. She didn't know what to say.
Skittle continued. "I know it might be weird, but I can't help how I feel. I hope you don't hate me for it."
Toothy looked at Skittle, her expression softening. "I could never hate you, Skittle. I need some time to process this, but I promise I won't reject you outright."
Skittle smiled, relieved. "Thank you, Toothy. That means a lot to me."
The two of them walked back to their dorms, their hearts heavy with the day's events but also filled with new possibilities.
