The door of the upscale bar swung open, allowing a sliver of dim light to pierce the darkness within. Sarah stepped through the entrance, her eyes scanning the room until they landed on a familiar face. David. She smirked, amused that he hadn’t changed a bit - still the same scrawny, awkward guy from high school.
She made her way over to the bar, her stilettos clicking against the hardwood floor. David looked up and saw her, his jaw dropping at how stunning she was. Sarah, on the other hand, was barely impressed. She had seen it all - the wealth, the power, the men who would do anything to get in her good graces. David was nothing more than a speck of dust in the grand scheme of things.
“Well, well, well,” Sarah said, taking a seat next to David. “If it isn’t the struggling writer. I have to say, I’m surprised you’re still alive.”
David shot her a playful glare, trying to hide his nerves. “And if it isn’t the successful businesswoman. I have to say, I’m surprised you haven’t sold your soul yet.”
Sarah laughed, her eyes sparkling with amusement. “Oh, I have. But it was worth it. At least I have something to show for it.”
David rolled his eyes, but he couldn’t help but be drawn in by Sarah’s sharp wit. “And what about me? Don’t I have something to show for it?”
Sarah raised an eyebrow, challenging him. “Let’s see it then. Show me your best work.”
David hesitated for a moment, but then he pulled out a small notebook from his bag. He flipped through the pages, stopping on a passage that he had written earlier that day. Sarah leaned in closer, her eyes scanning the words on the page.
“Not bad,” she said, a hint of surprise in her voice. “You actually have talent.”
David couldn’t help but feel a sense of pride at her kind words. “Thank you. It means a lot coming from you.”
Sarah smiled, her walls starting to come down. “You know what? I think I underestimated you. You might actually be worth something.”
David returned her smile, his heart racing at the chemistry that was building between them. “And what about you? Are you worth something?”
Sarah leaned in even closer, her lips brushing against David’s ear. “That’s for you to find out,” she whispered, her voice low and sultry.
David felt a spark shoot through his body at her words. He placed his hand on Sarah’s thigh, squeezing gently. Sarah’s breath hitched, her body responding to his touch.
The two of them continued to flirt and tease each other, their attraction growing stronger by the minute. Sarah suggested they take their drinks to a quieter corner of the bar and David agreed. As they moved, Sarah’s hand brushed against David’s and he felt a jolt of electricity.
Sarah noticed David’s reaction and gave him a knowing look. She leaned in close and whispered something dirty in his ear, making David’s heart race. He responded by placing his hand on Sarah’s thigh, squeezing gently. Sarah’s breath hitched and she leaned in even closer.
As the night went on, the two of them became more and more bold. Sarah suggested they take this party back to her place and David eagerly agreed. They left the bar, hands intertwined, and made their way to Sarah’s apartment.
Once they arrived, Sarah pushed David against the wall and kissed him deeply. David responded in kind, his hands roaming over Sarah’s body. She broke the kiss and whispered, “I want you, David.” David didn’t need to be told twice.
The two of them stumbled to Sarah’s bedroom, shedding clothes as they went. They fell onto the bed, ready to pick up where they left off in the bar. Sarah straddled David, her body moving in sync with his. David’s hands roamed over Sarah’s curves, his fingers tracing the lines of her body.
Sarah leaned down and whispered in David’s ear, “You have no idea how long I’ve wanted this.” David’s only response was a groan of pleasure as Sarah’s lips found his again.
The night was young and the two of them were just getting started. Sarah was in control, but David was more than happy to follow her lead. He had a feeling that this was going to be a night he would never forget.
