Classmate's Seductive Study Session

**Chapter One: Homework and Hot Messes**

The living room was a battlefield of teenage chaos. Textbooks lay splayed open on the coffee table, their pages fluttering under the lazy spin of a ceiling fan. Empty chip bags and soda cans formed a precarious tower of poor decisions, while the TV hummed in the background, some mindless reality show droning on about drama I couldn’t care less about. I, Ethan, an awkward high school senior with a penchant for overthinking, sat cross-legged on the couch, pretending to understand quadratic equations. My heart, however, was doing its own math—racing at the thought of who was about to walk through my door.

Anya.

The doorbell chimed, sharp and impatient, like it knew I was stalling. I scrambled to my feet, nearly tripping over a stray sneaker, and opened the door to find her standing there, one hip cocked, a smirk already playing on her lips. Anya was a force of nature—tall, confident, with dark hair pulled into a messy bun that somehow looked effortlessly sexy. Her leather jacket hung open over a tight black tank top, and her eyes, sharp and mischievous, scanned me up and down like I was a puzzle she was already solving.

“Well, well, Ethan,” she drawled, stepping inside without waiting for an invitation. “I see you’ve prepared the perfect study environment. What is this, a landfill or your living room?”

I rubbed the back of my neck, cheeks already burning. “Uh, yeah, sorry about the mess. I meant to clean up, but—”

“But you got distracted by… what, exactly?” She raised an eyebrow, kicking a stray sock aside with the toe of her combat boot as she sauntered toward the coffee table. “Daydreaming about me, maybe?”

I choked on my own spit, coughing awkwardly as I shut the door. “W-what? No, I was just… I mean, I was trying to figure out this algebra stuff.”

“Uh-huh.” She dropped her backpack onto the floor with a dramatic thud and plopped onto the couch, spreading her legs wide in a way that was both casual and… distracting. “Sure you were. Come on, sit down. Let’s see if I can teach you something before your brain short-circuits entirely.”

I shuffled over, sitting a safe distance away—or so I thought. Anya had other plans. She leaned over, snatching my notebook from the table, her arm brushing against mine just long enough to make my skin prickle. “Good lord, Ethan, your handwriting looks like a toddler had a seizure with a pen. How do you even read this?”

“It’s not that bad,” I mumbled, though I knew it was. “I just write fast.”

“Fast and sloppy,” she quipped, her voice dripping with mock disapproval. She turned her head, her face suddenly closer to mine, those dark eyes glinting with something dangerous. “You know, I don’t tolerate sloppy. Not in math, not in… anything.”

I swallowed hard, my throat dry as a desert. “I’ll, uh, try to do better.”

“You’d better.” She tossed the notebook back onto the table and leaned back, stretching her arms above her head in a way that made her shirt ride up just enough to reveal a sliver of smooth skin. I tried not to stare. I failed. “So, what’s the plan here? You gonna keep blushing like a virgin on prom night, or are we actually gonna get some work done?”

“I’m not blushing!” I protested, though my face felt like it was on fire. “And I’m totally focused. Let’s do… equations or whatever.”

“Equations or whatever,” she mimicked, her tone dripping with amusement. She shifted closer, her knee brushing against mine, and I froze. “Alright, let’s start with something simple. Solve this one.” She pointed to a problem in the textbook, her finger lingering on the page as if daring me to look away from her.

I squinted at the numbers, my brain a jumbled mess of x’s, y’s, and the very real problem of Anya’s proximity. “Uh, okay, so… if I carry the two—”

“Wrong already,” she interrupted, her voice sharp but playful. She leaned in even closer, her breath warm against my ear as she whispered, “You’re hopeless, aren’t you? Lucky for you, I’m a very patient teacher… when I want to be.”

My heart slammed against my ribcage. “I’m not hopeless. I just… need a little help.”

“Oh, I’ll help you,” she purred, pulling back just enough to lock eyes with me. Her gaze was intense, like she could see straight through my fumbling exterior to the mess of nerves underneath. “But you’ve gotta earn it. No free rides, Ethan. Tell me, what’s messier—your room or your head right now?”

I laughed despite myself, the sound shaky. “Probably my head. You’re kind of… distracting.”

Her lips curled into a wicked smile, and she tilted her head, studying me like a predator sizing up prey. “Good answer. I like being a distraction. Keeps things interesting.” She tapped a finger against her chin, pretending to think. “Tell you what. For every problem you get right, I’ll… reward you. How’s that sound?”

“Reward me?” I echoed, my voice cracking like a prepubescent kid’s. “Like, with what?”

She shrugged, her smirk widening. “Use your imagination. Or don’t. I’m full of surprises. Now, focus. Solve the damn problem before I decide to make this lesson a lot harder.”

I nodded, grabbing my pencil with a trembling hand, but my eyes kept darting to her. She noticed, of course—she always noticed—and let out a low, throaty chuckle. “Eyes on the paper, Ethan. Unless you’d rather stare at me all day. I wouldn’t blame you, but we’ve got work to do.”

“You’re impossible,” I muttered under my breath, scribbling down numbers I wasn’t even sure made sense.

“Impossible to resist, you mean,” she shot back without missing a beat. She propped her elbow on the couch, resting her chin in her hand as she watched me struggle. “Come on, sweetheart. Show me you’ve got something in that cute little head of yours besides dirty thoughts.”

I nearly dropped my pencil. “I—I don’t have dirty thoughts!”

“Liar,” she said, her voice a teasing sing-song. “But that’s okay. I like a little denial. Makes the truth so much sweeter when it comes out.”

The air between us felt heavier now, charged with something I couldn’t quite name but could definitely feel. Every word out of her mouth was a jab, a challenge, a spark that threatened to ignite something bigger. I tried to focus on the math, but all I could think about was the way her knee was still pressed against mine, the way her eyes lingered on me like she was waiting for me to crack.

“Alright,” I said finally, pushing the notebook toward her. “I think I got it. Check my work?”

She took the notebook, her fingers brushing mine deliberately as she did. “Hmm. Let’s see if you’ve earned that reward.” She scanned the page, her expression unreadable for a moment before she looked up, a sly grin spreading across her face. “Not bad, Ethan. Not bad at all. Guess I’ll have to keep my promise.”

My stomach flipped. “What… what’s the reward?”

She leaned in, her lips just inches from mine, her voice a husky whisper. “Patience, sweetheart. We’ve got all afternoon to figure that out.”

And just like that, algebra was the last thing on my mind.
