Cougar's Cage: Taming the Youthful Prey

Chapter One: A Tiger Among Pigeons

The zoo was bustling with activity, the midday sun beating down on the pavement and making the air thick with humidity. Felicity and her group of middle-aged friends walked through the entrance, fanning themselves and complaining about the heat.

"I can't believe how hot it is today," one of Felicity's friends said, wiping her forehead with a handkerchief. "I'm already sweating like a pig."

"Tell me about it," Felicity replied, rolling her eyes. "I feel like I'm going to melt."

As they made their way through the zoo, they spotted a young man standing in front of the cougar enclosure, admiring the animals. He couldn't have been more than twenty-five, with dark hair and piercing blue eyes.

"Look at this kid," one of Felicity's friends said, nudging her. "He looks like he's never seen a cougar before."

"Yeah, what's he doing here all by himself?" another friend chimed in. "He's probably lost."

Felicity's friends started to harass the young man, making playful insults about his age and calling him names like "kiddo" and "young buck". He tried to defend himself, but his inexperience in dealing with such situations only made Felicity's friends more aggressive.

Felicity, noticing the situation, stepped in and defended the young man, telling her friends to back off and stop being so mean.

"Leave him alone, guys," she said, her voice firm and direct. "He's not doing anything wrong."

Her friends were taken aback by Felicity's directness and started making fun of her for being so protective of a "boy".

"Felicity, what's gotten into you?" one of her friends said, laughing. "You're acting like a mother hen."

Felicity ignored her friends and focused on the young man, who was looking at her with gratitude in his eyes.

"I'm sorry about my friends," she said, smiling. "They can be a little... much."

The young man, who introduced himself as Leo, tried to make small talk with Felicity, but his clumsiness got the best of him. He accidentally spilled his drink on Felicity's shoe, causing her to laugh.

"Don't worry about it," she said, wiping off the drink with a napkin. "It's just a shoe."

Leo, still feeling guilty, offered to buy Felicity a new pair of shoes, but she declined, saying that she didn't need a "kid" buying her things. As they continued to walk around the zoo, Leo tripped and fell, breaking a vase that was on display.

Leo started to cry, feeling guilty and scared of Felicity's reaction. But Felicity, instead of getting angry, comforted him, telling him that it was just an accident and that he didn't need to cry.

"It's okay, Leo," she said, patting him on the back. "It was just a vase. I can easily replace it."

Leo, still feeling guilty, offered to pay for the vase, but Felicity assured him that it wasn't a big deal and that she could easily replace it.

As they left the zoo, Felicity's friends made more playful insults about Leo, but Felicity ignored them and focused on Leo, who was still feeling guilty. Wanting to make him feel better, she took him to her favorite ice cream shop and bought him a cone.

Leo, touched by Felicity's kindness, started to open up to her, telling her about his dreams and aspirations. Felicity listened intently, her eyes sparkling with interest.
