Felicity sighed contentedly as she lounged on her plush couch, a satisfied smile playing on her lips. The night of passion she had shared with her younger boyfriend, Ethan, still lingered in her mind, making her feel deliciously wicked. She couldn't resist reaching out to pinch his cheek, her fingers tracing the curve of his cheekbone. "You're just too adorable, Ethan," she cooed, unable to keep the amusement out of her voice.
Ethan blushed, his cheeks turning a charming shade of pink. "I try my best, Felicity," he replied, his voice soft and earnest.
Their tender moment was interrupted by the entrance of Felicity's roommate, Claudia. She was a no-nonsense woman with a sharp tongue and an even sharper mind. Claudia held up a strange device, her eyes gleaming with mischief. "What do you think of this little gadget I picked up on the dark web, Felicity?" she asked, a playful insult lacing her words. "I think Ethan here could use a little toughening up."
Before Felicity could react, Claudia pressed a button on the device and Ethan let out a startled cry. He began to shrink, his body diminishing until he was no bigger than Felicity's finger. Claudia snatched him up, her hand closing around him like a vice.
Ethan's eyes were wide with fear, his bottom lip quivering as he began to cry. Felicity's heart clenched in her chest as she watched him, her anger towards Claudia rising. "Claudia, give him back!" she demanded, her voice sharp.
Claudia laughed, her eyes glinting with amusement. "Oh, come on, Felicity. Don't be such a softie. I'm just trying to teach him a lesson." She raised her hand, her fingers curling into a fist as if to crush Ethan.
Felicity's eyes narrowed, her fury boiling over. "Don't you dare, Claudia!" she shouted, her voice echoing through the room. She grabbed a magnifying glass from the coffee table, her eyes blazing with determination. "Give him back, or I'll burn your hand with this."
Claudia's eyes widened in surprise, her grip on Ethan loosening slightly. She realized that Felicity was not someone to be trifled with. With a sigh, she handed Ethan back to Felicity. "I'm sorry, Felicity. I didn't mean to cause any harm," she said, her voice contrite.
Felicity scolded Claudia for her reckless behavior, her voice stern. "You need to be more careful, Claudia. You can't just go around shrinking people like that."
Claudia nodded, her eyes downcast. "You're right, Felicity. I promise to be more responsible and to never use the shrink ray again."
Felicity sighed in relief, her anger dissipating as she hugged Ethan close. "I'm just glad you're safe, Ethan," she murmured, her voice filled with affection.
Ethan sniffled, his arms wrapped tightly around Felicity's finger. "I'm glad I'm safe too, Felicity," he replied, his voice trembling.
The chapter ended with Felicity and Ethan cuddling on the couch, their bodies pressed close together. Despite the little predicament they had found themselves in, they felt closer and more in love than ever before.
