Cougar's Night: When Experience Meets Disdain and a Slap Across the Face

The trendy rooftop bar was buzzing with the sound of clinking glasses and hushed conversations as Felicity and Theo walked in. Felicity, a stylish woman in her late forties, looked every inch the confident cougar in her sleek little black dress and stiletto heels. Theo, on the other hand, looked out of place in his worn-out jeans and t-shirt, like a lamb led to the slaughter.

Felicity introduced Theo to one of her female friends, a successful businesswoman named Victoria. Victoria looked Theo up and down, her nose wrinkling in disgust. "And what do you study, dear?" she asked Theo, her voice dripping with disinterest.

Theo stammers out an answer, but Victoria cuts him off before he can finish. "I don't care about outdated knowledge," she says, her voice sharp. "I prefer men who have already made something of themselves."

Felicity tries to defend Theo, saying he's smart and ambitious, but Victoria rolls her eyes. "You can do so much better than this boy, Felicity," she says, her voice laced with condescension.

Felicity bristles at the insult, but tries to keep the peace. "Victoria, darling, there's no need to be rude," she says, her voice sweet but firm.

Victoria turns to Theo and says, "You're lucky Felicity is such a kind-hearted woman. I would have kicked you to the curb the moment I saw you."

Theo, feeling embarrassed and humiliated, tries to make a quick exit. But as he turns to leave, Victoria suddenly slaps him hard across the face.

Theo's eyes tear up from the shock and pain. Felicity, furious at Victoria's behavior, grabs Victoria by the arm and pulls her aside. "What the hell is wrong with you?" she hisses. "He didn't deserve that!"

Victoria smirks, saying Theo needed to learn his place. Felicity, still holding Victoria's arm, says, "You're just jealous because I have someone who loves me for who I am, not for my money or success."

Victoria tries to pull away, but Felicity tightens her grip. "Let go of me, Felicity," Victoria snaps.

Felicity, with a playful smile, says, "Make me, Victoria." Victoria, realizing she's outmatched, finally releases her arm.

Felicity turns back to Theo, who is still teary-eyed and shocked. She takes him in her arms and whispers soothing words in his ear. "Don't worry about it, Theo. I'll always have your back, no matter what."

Theo, feeling comforted by Felicity's embrace, looks up at her and says, "I'm sorry, Felicity. I didn't mean to cause any trouble."

Felicity smiles and says, "Don't worry about it, Theo. I can handle Victoria. She's just a bitter old cat who's jealous of my youth and vitality."

Theo chuckles, feeling a sense of relief wash over him. Felicity was always there for him, no matter what. And as they walked out of the bar, hand in hand, Theo knew that age was just a number. It was the love and connection between two people that truly mattered.
