Sabrina and Jade strolled leisurely through the zoo, their laughter and playful banter filling the air as they approached the cougar enclosure. Sabrina, a striking woman in her late thirties, couldn't help but admire the grace and beauty of the cougars as they prowled their habitat. "Ugh, a child," she muttered under her breath, turning to Jade with a playful insult. "I guess we're not the only ones who appreciate a good predator."
Jade chuckled, but then noticed that the boy was trying to talk to them. She smiled and waved at him, inviting him to join their conversation.
"Hi there!" Jade called out, her voice warm and welcoming. "What do you think of the cougars?"
The boy, who introduced himself as Max, was shy but excited to talk to the two women. He asked them questions about the cougars and shared his own observations. Sabrina, initially uninterested, couldn't help but be impressed by Max's passion and intelligence.
However, as Max got too close to her, Sabrina's patience wore thin. She slapped him hard across the face, causing him to cry out in pain.
"I'm sorry," Sabrina said immediately, her voice laced with regret. "I didn't mean to hurt you. I just thought you were too young for me."
