Veronica stepped into the cozy apartment, kicking off her heels as she called out for Alex. The silence that greeted her made her furrow her brow, and she made her way into the living room.
Her eyes immediately fell on the broken vase on the floor, and she couldn't help but let out a sigh. She looked around for any sign of Alex, but he was nowhere to be found.
It was then that she noticed the slightly ajar door, and she made her way towards it. Veronica opened the door to find Alex hiding behind it, his face a mixture of fear and guilt.
She raised an eyebrow and crossed her arms. "Well, well, well. What do we have here?" she asked with a playful smirk.
Alex stuttered out an explanation about how he was trying to surprise her with a clean apartment, but accidentally knocked over the vase. Veronica couldn't help but roll her eyes at his excuse.
"Oh, please. You're lucky I don't have a whip handy, or you'd be in trouble," she said with a wink. Despite her playful insult, Veronica couldn't help but feel a little hurt that Alex didn't trust her enough to not be afraid of her reaction.
She approached him and gently lifted his chin so that they were eye to eye. "Hey, I'm not mad at you. I could never be mad at you," she said softly.
Alex looked relieved and wrapped his arms around Veronica's waist. "I'm sorry, I just didn't want you to be upset," he murmured.
Veronica chuckled and pinched his cheek. "Adorable, but unnecessary. I'm not that easily upset," she said.
She pulled away from him and started to clean up the broken vase. "Now, go make yourself useful and get me a drink," she ordered.
Alex obeyed and returned with a glass of wine for Veronica. She took a sip and smiled at him. "Much better. Now, where were we?" she asked, her eyes twinkling with mischief.
Alex hesitated, taking a step towards her, but Veronica stopped him with a hand on his chest. "Uh-uh. You're still in the doghouse. Go sit over there and think about what you've done," she said, pointing to a chair across the room.
Alex pouted but did as he was told. Veronica watched him with a smirk. "You know, you're lucky I find your puppy dog eyes so irresistible," she said.
She stood up and made her way towards him. "But don't think you're off the hook yet," she added, wagging a finger at him.
Alex's eyes widened as Veronica straddled his lap, her hands resting on his shoulders. "I think you need to be punished," she said, her voice low and sultry.
Alex's breath hitched as Veronica's lips met his, her tongue exploring his mouth. She pulled away, leaving him wanting more. "But not yet. First, you need to earn my forgiveness," she said, her eyes sparkling with desire.
Alex nodded eagerly, and Veronica stood up, offering him her hand. "Come on, then. Let's see what you've got," she said, leading him towards the bedroom.
As they walked, Veronica couldn't help but feel a thrill at the thought of taking charge. She was a strong, controlling woman, and she loved nothing more than taking the lead in the bedroom.
And she had a feeling that Alex was more than willing to let her.
