The heavens were alive with the sound of laughter as four powerful goddesses gathered around a table, laden with an array of food and drink to satisfy their pregnancy cravings. The spacious and airy room in Brigitte's palace boasted floor-to-ceiling windows that offered a breathtaking view of the clouds stretching out as far as the eye could see.
Brigitte, the goddess of fertility and childbirth, sat at the head of the table, her eyes twinkling with mischief. "Hera, my dear," she began, a playful smile tugging at the corners of her lips, "I'm simply dying to know how you broke the news of your pregnancy to the almighty Zeus."
Hera, the queen of the gods, rolled her eyes dramatically. "I had to remind him that he was the one who initiated it in the first place," she replied, her tone laced with a hint of exasperation. "Can you believe it? He seemed genuinely surprised, as if he had forgotten our little... encounter."
Amphimitre, the goddess of the sea, chuckled softly. "Poseidon was more excited than I was. He kept talking about teaching our child how to swim with the dolphins and exploring the depths of the ocean together." She paused, her eyes shining with amusement. "I had to remind him that our child would need to learn how to walk before they could swim."
Persephone, the goddess of spring and the underworld, looked thoughtful for a moment. "Hades was surprisingly supportive when I told him about my pregnancy," she shared, her voice filled with genuine surprise. "He even offered to build a playground for our child in the Elysian Fields."
Brigitte raised an eyebrow, clearly taken aback. "Really? I find that hard to believe, coming from the god of the underworld."
Persephone laughed, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "You'd be surprised, Brigitte. He's been nothing but supportive and loving throughout my pregnancy. He even attends my prenatal classes with me."
Hera snorted in disbelief. "I bet it's made of bones and skulls," she muttered under her breath.
Persephone stuck her tongue out at Hera, her good humor unshaken. "At least he's showing some interest. Unlike Zeus, who's been too busy chasing after mortal women to even ask how I'm feeling."
Brigitte nodded in agreement, her own frustration evident in her voice. "Apollo's been treating me like I'm made of glass. It's driving me crazy. I can't even lift a finger without him hovering over me, asking if I'm okay."
Amphimitre patted Brigitte's hand sympathetically. "At least he's showing you affection. Poseidon's been too busy with his sea creatures to notice I'm pregnant. I swear, if I have to listen to one more story about a giant squid, I'm going to lose my mind."
Persephone giggled, her laughter infectious. "At least you didn't have to plan your pregnancy like I did. Hades and I had to schedule a specific time for conception. It was like planning a military operation."
Hera looked horrified at the very idea. "That's just wrong on so many levels," she exclaimed, her voice filled with shock.
Brigitte laughed, her eyes shining with mirth. "At least you didn't have to deal with Apollo's reaction. He fainted when I told him I was pregnant. I had to revive him with a shot of ambrosia."
The four goddesses burst into laughter, their bond growing stronger as they shared their pregnancy experiences. Each of them had faced their own unique challenges, but they found solace in the knowledge that they were not alone. Together, they would navigate the uncharted waters of pregnancy, drawing strength from one another as they brought new life into the world.
