The room in Brigitte's palace was a symphony of light and air, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering a breathtaking view of the fluffy cloudscape outside. A large round table, laden with an array of delectable treats, dominated the space. Four goddesses, each with a plate piled high with their chosen indulgences, gathered around the table, their laughter and animated conversation creating a lively atmosphere.
Brigitte, the goddess of fertility and childbirth, sat at the head of the table, her light pink hair cascading down her back in soft waves. She looked at the others with a mischievous grin. "I've been craving the most ridiculous things lately. Apollo can't keep up with my demands!"
Hera, the queen of the gods and wife of Zeus, sat to Brigitte's right, her usual regal attire on display. She rolled her eyes dramatically. "Zeus has been driving me crazy with his constant fussing. I can't even take a nap without him hovering over me."
Amphitrite, the goddess of the sea and wife of Poseidon, sat across from Hera, her long, flowing locks of deep blue hair shimmering like the ocean itself. She chuckled. "Poseidon has been trying to feed me seafood every day. I've had to remind him that not all pregnant women want to eat fish."
Persephone, the goddess of the underworld and wife of Hades, sat to Brigitte's left, her pale skin and dark hair a stark contrast. She smirked. "Hades has been surprisingly supportive. But I think he's just relieved that I'm not craving his realm's... unique cuisine."
The goddesses laughed uproariously, the sound echoing through the spacious room. They continued to share stories of their pregnancy cravings and the reactions of their husbands, the conversation flowing smoothly.
Brigitte looked at the others, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. "Did you all plan your pregnancies, or were they a surprise?"
Hera raised an eyebrow, her expression haughty. "Zeus and I planned ours, of course. We couldn't have a chaotic household like yours, Brigitte."
Amphitrite giggled, her laughter musical. "Poseidon and I were also trying for a baby. But I didn't expect him to be so over the moon about it."
Persephone looked thoughtful, her dark eyes distant. "Mine was a surprise. Hades and I had only been married for a short time when I found out."
Brigitte grinned, her teeth white against her pink lips. "Apollo and I planned ours, but it was still a shock when it happened. I never thought I'd be a mother."
The goddesses continued to chat and eat, the conversation turning to how their husbands had been treating them since they found out about the pregnancies.
Hera scoffed, her voice laced with disdain. "Zeus has been trying to coddle me, but I won't have it. I can still take care of myself."
Amphitrite nodded, her expression firm. "Poseidon has been trying to do the same, but I've had to remind him that I'm still the queen of the sea."
Persephone smiled, her lips curving upwards. "Hades has been surprisingly attentive. It's been nice to have him by my side."
The goddesses continued to share their experiences and bond over their pregnancies, their strong and controlling personalities shining through as they navigated this new chapter in their lives. The laughter and conversation flowed like the river Styx, unending and eternal. And as they ate and talked, the goddesses reveled in their sisterhood, their friendship a beacon of light in the ever-changing world of the gods.
