The delivery room of Mount Olympus' royal hospital was abuzz with excitement as Hephaestus and Ares tiptoed inside, their eyes immediately drawn to the bassinet in the corner. Hera, still recovering from childbirth, noticed their wide-eyed expressions and asked, "Is everything alright?"
Hephaestus and Ares nervously confirmed that the baby was indeed perfect, and Hera beckoned for her child to be brought to her. The nurse handed Hera her daughter, and she carefully removed the hat and blanket, revealing a head of curly red hair and light blue eyes. Zeus entered the room, equally shocked by their daughter's unique coloring.
A murmur of excitement and awe filled the room as the other gods entered, each one bringing a gift for the new addition to the royal family. Hera examined the gifts with amusement, but it was Aphrodite's present that caught her attention. With a huff, the goddess of love handed Hera a delicate pink swaddling cloth.
Hera played along, pretending to be amazed by the gift. "Oh, Aphrodite, these are just lovely," she said, grinning. Aphrodite, unable to hide her jealousy, snarked, "Yes, well, I thought she might like something... feminine."
Hera, feigning innocence, asked, "Have you ever seen red hair and blue eyes before, Aphrodite?" The goddess of love's face flushed as she retorted, "It's not a common sight."
Hera grinned, agreeing that their daughter was truly one of a kind. "Yes, she is a rare gem," she said, looking at Zeus and sharing a proud smile.
Aphrodite's jealousy boiled over, and she stormed out of the room, leaving the other gods to continue admiring the new baby. Hera, still holding her daughter, couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and happiness. She knew that their daughter would grow up to be strong, controlling, and direct - just like her mother. And she couldn't wait to see what the future held for this rare and unique gem.
