Crimson Curls and Celestial Eyes: A Mythological Misfit's Birth

Chapter One: A Rare Gem

The delivery room of Mount Olympus' royal hospital was abuzz with excitement, the air thick with the scent of divine ambrosia. Hephaestus, the god of fire and metalworking, his muscular frame hidden beneath a simple tunic, and Ares, the god of war, with his armor clinking softly, sneaked a peek at the bassinet where the newborn baby girl lay.

Hera, the queen of the gods and wife of Zeus, her fiery red hair cascading down her shoulders, noticed their wide-eyed expressions. "Is she alright?" she asked, a hint of worry in her voice. Both Hephaestus and Ares assured her that the baby was fine.

A nurse, her wings fluttering gently, handed Hera her baby. She took off the hat and moved the blanket to fully see her child. To her and Zeus's shock, their baby had curly red hair and light blue eyes - the rarest combination of all. The nurse informed Hera that the baby's unique features were a result of her divine heritage.

Zeus, the king of the gods, his beard glistening in the ethereal light, entered the room, equally surprised by their daughter's appearance. "She's the most beautiful baby I've ever seen," he exclaimed, his deep voice echoing through the room.

Hera playfully insulted Zeus, reminding him that he was biased, being her father and all. Zeus chuckled, his eyes never leaving their daughter. The rest of the gods started to arrive, marveling at the baby and bringing gifts for the newborn.

Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty, with her blonde hair and blue eyes, approached the bassinet. Her eyes, however, shimmered with jealousy. Hera noticed Aphrodite's reaction and, with a smirk, asked if she brought a gift for the baby.

Aphrodite, trying to hide her jealousy, presented her gift - a golden, engraved rattle. Hera, still playfully taunting Aphrodite, thanked her for the "thoughtful" gift and remarked that it would look lovely next to the other divine presents.

Aphrodite, unable to contain her jealousy, stormed out of the delivery room. Hera and Zeus exchanged amused glances, proud of their rare and beautiful baby girl. The gods continued to celebrate the new addition to their divine family, unaware of the drama that had just unfolded.

Hera, feeling content and fulfilled, looked forward to raising her daughter and teaching her the ways of the gods. She would ensure that her daughter would grow up to be as strong, controlling, and direct as she was, a true gem among the gods.
