Daddy's Girl: When Hephaestus' Mexican Heat Meets Ivory's Persistent Innocence

Chapter One: The Daddy's Girl

The Hall of Olympian Gods was abuzz with activity as the gods and goddesses gathered for their daily council. But amidst the cacophony of voices, one god remained blissfully asleep in his throne. Hephaestus, the Mexican god of fire and forge, was a picture of serene repose, his tan skin glowing in the ethereal light of the hall. His dark brown hair was tousled, and his muscular chest rose and fell with the steady rhythm of deep sleep.

But the peace was not to last. Soon, the other gods began to gather around Hephaestus, their voices low and filled with gossip.

"Did you hear?" whispered Apollo, the god of the sun, to Artemis, his twin sister. "Hephaestus's daughter, Ivory, has been causing quite the stir."

Artemis raised an eyebrow. "Oh? Do tell."

Apollo leaned in closer, his blue eyes sparkling with mischief. "She's been seen spending an awful lot of time with her father. Some say she's even...attached to him."

At this, the gods around them burst into laughter, their voices echoing off the marble walls. Hephaestus stirred, his dark eyes snapping open as he glared at the assembled deities.

"What's all this then?" he growled, his voice rough with sleep.

Aphrodite, the goddess of love, smiled sweetly at him, her blue eyes twinkling with mischief. "We were just discussing your little girl, Hephaestus. Such a daddy's girl, isn't she?"

Hephaestus bristled, his muscles tense with anger. "Ivory is my daughter, and I'll thank you not to speak of her in such a manner."

Aphrodite laughed, her voice like a tinkling bell. "Oh, come now, Hephaestus. You can't deny that she's attached to your hip. It's not natural, you know."

Hephaestus's eyes narrowed. "And you would know all about what's natural, wouldn't you, Aphrodite? Always chasing after every pretty thing that catches your eye."

The gods laughed again, and Hephaestus couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and protectiveness for his daughter. Yes, Ivory was attached to him, and he to her. They were father and daughter, bonded by blood and love. And he would be damned if he let anyone mock that bond.

But just as the gods were dispersing, Hermes, the messenger god, arrived with news that would shake Hephaestus to his core.

"Ivory is missing!" he cried, his voice echoing through the hall.

Hephaestus immediately jumped into action, his face pale with fear. "What do you mean, missing? When was the last time anyone saw her?"

The gods looked at each other, their faces grave. "It's been hours," said Apollo. "She was last seen near the river Styx."

Hephaestus's heart clenched in his chest. Ivory, his little girl, was out there somewhere, alone and in danger. He couldn't let her face this danger alone.

"We must find her," he declared, his voice firm. "I will not rest until she is safe."

The gods nodded, their faces serious now. They quickly offered their help, and soon, Hephaestus and the gods were setting out on a search, with Hephaestus leading the way.

As they searched, Hephaestus couldn't help but reflect on the memories he and Ivory had shared. The times she had clung to his leg, her green eyes wide and curious. The times she had helped him in his forge, her light-brown hair tied back in a messy bun. The times she had come to him with her problems, her face serious and determined.

His little girl was all grown up now, but she was still his "daddy's girl". And he would move heaven and earth to keep her safe.

Finally, they found Ivory, safe and sound, and Hephaestus couldn't help but feel a mix of relief and joy. He rushed to her side, his arms open wide, and she ran into them, her body shaking with sobs.

"I'm sorry, Daddy," she cried, her voice muffled against his chest. "I'm so sorry I caused trouble."

Hephaestus just hugged her, his heart swelling with love. "You never have to apologize for that, Ivory. I will always come for you, no matter what."

The gods dispersed, leaving Hephaestus and Ivory alone. She looked up at him with admiration, her green eyes shining with unshed tears.

"You're my hero, Daddy," she whispered.

Hephaestus smiled, his heart full. "And you're my daddy's girl, Ivory. Always and forever."
