The Hall of Olympian Gods was buzzing with activity, a cacophony of voices filling the air as the gods engaged in a heated discussion. At the center of it all was Hephaestus, the god of fire and the forge, still half-asleep as he stumbled into the room. The gods fell silent as he entered, their eyes following him with a mix of amusement and curiosity.
"Well, well, well, look who decided to join us," Hera said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. She was the queen of the gods, after all, and she didn't hesitate to throw a playful insult at her husband's brother. "Ivory's doting daddy has finally decided to grace us with his presence."
Hephaestus grumbled a response, running a hand through his wild hair. "At least she knows who her real father is," he said, a hint of defensiveness in his voice.
Zeus, the king of the gods, chuckled at the exchange. "How's our little princess, Hephaestus?" he asked, his eyes twinkling with mischief.
Hephaestus' face softened as he talked about Ivory. "She's a handful, but I wouldn't have it any other way," he said, a proud smile on his face.
Athena, the goddess of wisdom, chimed in. "She's just like you, Hephaestus," she said. "Strong-willed and determined."
Hephaestus beamed at the compliment. "She gets it from her old man," he said, his chest puffing out with pride.
Poseidon, the god of the sea, added his two cents. "But she's also as stubborn as a mule," he said. "Once she sets her mind on something, there's no changing it."
Hephaestus laughed at the observation. "Yeah, she's definitely her father's daughter," he said, shaking his head in disbelief.
The gods continued to tease Hephaestus about Ivory, but there was a deep affection in their words. They all loved Hephaestus, and they couldn't help but admire the bond he had with his daughter.
Feeling a little overwhelmed, Hephaestus excused himself from the hall. As he walked away, he heard Athena say, "She's lucky to have a father like you, Hephaestus."
Hephaestus' heart swelled with pride and love for his daughter. He quickened his pace, eager to spend the day with Ivory. When he reached her room, he paused for a moment, taking a deep breath before pushing the door open.
"Daddy!" Ivory exclaimed, running into his arms.
Hephaestus swept her up, holding her close as he spun her around. "Hey, princess," he said, his voice filled with warmth and love.
And just like that, the worries of the gods faded away. Hephaestus was in his element, a doting father to his beloved daughter. And nothing else mattered.
