Devoured by the Wolf

Devoured by the Wolf

Chapter 1: The Hunt Begins

I’m just a little guy, barely big enough to see over the tall grass, but I’ve got a wild heart. The morning sun is warm on my bare chest as I slip out of the house, shirtless, my shorts hanging low on my hips. The forest calls to me, a tangle of shadows and whispers, promising something dangerous, something thrilling. I’ve heard the stories about the Big Bad Wolf—a man, but not quite, with wolf ears twitching atop his head, a fluffy tail swaying behind him, and a body covered in coarse, dark hair. They say he eats little boys like me. And God help me, I want to be devoured.

The woods are quiet as I pad along the dirt path, my sneakers crunching on twigs. My heart’s pounding, half from fear, half from something hotter, something I don’t quite understand yet. I’ve been out here for maybe ten minutes when I see him. There, through the trees, a hulking figure with those telltale ears perked up, his tail swishing lazily as he crouches by a stream. He hasn’t noticed me yet. My breath catches, but I’m not about to back down. I purse my lips and let out a sharp whistle, cutting through the stillness.

His head snaps up, yellow eyes glinting as they lock onto me. He straightens, all muscle and menace, and glances around, sniffing the air. I stand my ground, chest puffing out even though I’m trembling. He sees I’m alone, and a slow, predatory grin spreads across his face, showing sharp canines. He stalks toward me, each step deliberate, his tail flicking with interest.

“Well, well, what do we have here?” His voice is a low growl, rough like gravel, as he towers over me. He reaches down, big hands grabbing me under my arms, and hoists me up like I weigh nothing. “You’re an easy one, aren’t ya? Wandering out here all by yourself, half-naked. Don’t you know what happens to little boys in these woods?”

I squirm, but I’m grinning, my voice cheeky. “Maybe I do. Maybe I came looking for it.”

He raises a bushy eyebrow, surprised, then lets out a bark of laughter. Leaning in, he presses his nose to my bare belly, sniffing deep, his prickly beard scratching my skin. I giggle despite myself, the sensation tickling and rough all at once. “Mmm, you smell sweet,” he rumbles, his hot breath making me shiver. “Too sweet to eat out here in the dirt. Nah, I’m gonna take you home. Have myself a proper feast.”

Before I can sass him again, he slings me over his broad shoulder like I’m a sack of potatoes. I kick my legs for show, but I’m loving every second of it, the way his furry arm holds me tight, the sway of his tail as he strides through the forest. “Hey, watch it, furball!” I snap, pounding a tiny fist on his back. “I’m not dinner yet!”

“Oh, you will be, pup,” he shoots back, chuckling. “Just wait ‘til I get you on my plate.”

We reach a rough-hewn cabin nestled deep in the woods, the kind of place that looks like it’s hiding secrets. He kicks the door open with a booted foot and carries me straight to a bedroom, the air thick with the scent of pine and something musky, something him. He tosses me onto a big, messy bed, the blankets rumpled and warm. I bounce once, then prop myself on my elbows, glaring up at him with all the defiance I can muster.

“Gonna eat me now, huh?” I taunt, sticking out my chin. “Better make it good, Wolfie. I didn’t trek all the way out here for a lousy snack.”

He looms over me, his shadow swallowing the light, those yellow eyes gleaming with hunger. “Oh, I’ll make it good, alright,” he growls, leaning down until his face is inches from my belly again. He sniffs, long and slow, then smacks his lips like I’m a damn steak. “You’ve got no idea what you’re in for, kid.”

I open my mouth to fire back, but then he lunges forward, his beard scraping against my skin as he pretends to chomp, tickling me mercilessly. I shriek with laughter, thrashing under him, but he’s relentless, his growls mixing with my giggles as the heat between us builds to something wilder, something I’m too young to name but old enough to crave.
