Alex hesitated for a moment, unsure of what to do. But the thought of spending more time with this intriguing woman was too tempting to resist. He nodded, and Maya stepped aside, gesturing for him to enter.
As they chatted and laughed over drinks, Maya made a playful insult about Alex’s lack of adventure. “You seem like such a straight-laced guy,” she said, her eyes sparkling with mischief. “Don’t you ever want to try something new?”
